Dakota Johnson Told Sheer Braless Dress Inappropriate 'In Saudi Arabia'

Dakota Johnson has raised eyebrows for going sheer on the red carpet while in Saudi Arabia. The actress, who has made endless 2025 headlines for rocking the "naked dress" trend, stuck to her signature look last weekend, showing off her slender figure in an elegant lace number while braving a see-through finish. Opting out of her usual ultra-revealing look, Dakota kept chic in an off-white, lace-embellished gown with long sleeves, but with a braless finish, she was showing some skin. Users had mixed reviews overall, with some thinking that her sleeves made her look like she had no arms. Another fan, meanwhile, wondered if going sheer was appropriate in Saudi Arabia.

Dazzling while highlighting her slender waistline and toned legs, the Fifty Shades star went low-cut with a bit of an open-chested finish, but she wasn't showing too much.

Teasing her toned shoulders as her heavily embellished gown offered just enough sheer fabric to show some skin, Dakota also hinted at her cleavage, but she was nowhere near the full chest flashes she's made headlines for this year. Attending the Women in Cinema event at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Dakota wore French designer Chloe, a brand adored by fellow actress Gal Gadot.

The photo was posted on Just Jared at the end of last weekend. Slamming the dress, one user wrote: "Wtf this is awful." Another said: "It looks like she has no hands. Not the best pic." A third, meanwhile, noted that modest dress is required by law in Saudi Arabia. "Sheer in Saudi Arabia?" they asked.

Dakota Johnson sparked hate from her own Instagram followers in this dress, donned for the February 2024 premiere of her Madame Web movie. Going nearly naked in a sleeveless, mesh-webbed gown from Gucci, Dakota showed off her curves in a super low-cut dress with glittery aspects, ditching her undies up top and down below.

"How can you show off your beautiful body to the whole world?" one fan replied, saying that such a revealing look should be saved for a woman's "husband." Also slamming the dress was the angry fan writing: "Ugh, what a disgusting outfit! Maybe you should take everything off and go out naked."

A third, however, saw no issue as they told the brunette: "Ya know….. you’re so damn lovely." Dakota has since made headlines for ending her long-term relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. She is currently assumed single following her summer breakup.
