Ryan Lochte And His Estranged Wife Are Being Sued For Their $600,000 Home

According to a new report from Us Weekly, Ryan and Kayla are being sued by the Fletcher Park Owner's Association. The pair purchased a nearly 3,000-square-foot home in Gainesville, Florida, (now worth $660,000) in January 2021.
The lawsuit states Ryan and Kayla have failed to pay specific fees associated with the property. "Owner failed to pay the assessments of all types, interest, late fees, administrative fees, attorney’s fees, and costs of collections due to [the owner’s associate]," the document read.
Ryan and Kayla's association reportedly filed a lien against the pair in July, requesting nearly $4,000 in unpaid fees; however, since the fees have remained outstanding, the association has proceeded with a formal lawsuit.
Ryan And Kayla Lochte Have Faced Financial Woes Before

As previously reported by The Blast, Ryan and Kayla have had their share of financial woes in the past. In the summer, reports surfaced revealing that the couple had accumulated over $270,000 worth of debt.
Part of the debt included a nearly $100,000 bill owed to the Internal Revenue Service for the years 2021 and 2022.
The shocking numbers don't end there, as Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinic, a nonprofit organization, also filed a lien against the couple in the amount of $127,000 for unpaid bills the gold medalist allegedly accrued while receiving medical treatment.
The same company was also reportedly seeking an additional $40,000 for treatment Ryan allegedly received in February 2024.
Kayla Lochte Announces Split From Ryan In Emotional Instagram Post In The Summer Of 2025

Kayla and Ryan married in 2018 after meeting during a night out just two years prior. In an emotional Instagram post, Kayla revealed she made the decision to walk away from her relationship with the former "Traitors" star after reflecting on it for some time.
"I hold marriage in the highest regard, so this has been one of the most painful, revealing, and challenging seasons of my life. I've been hesitant to share until I could do so from a place of healing — not from fresh, open wounds," she wrote in the caption.
"Sometimes we face trials we didn't choose or see coming. And in those moments, we're forced to make the hardest decisions to protect our peace, our children, and our future. I've come to the understanding that staying isn't always the most loving decision someone can make. For me, leaving was an act of love — for those around me and for myself."
Ryan And Kayla Have Been Trading Jabs At Each Other In The Public Eye Since Announcing Their Divorce

Since announcing their divorce, Ryan and Kayla have been at each other's necks in the public eye, revealing deeply personal information and making stunning allegations against the other. According to The Blast, months after separating, Kayla requested the court grant her sole physical custody of their three minor children.
Kayla leveled horrifying accusations against Ryan, stating that sharing custody of their children with the athlete would be "detrimental" to their development because of Ryan's alleged "history of substance abuse." The Florida-based real estate agent continued, claiming she previously found empty bags of illicit drugs in their kids' bedrooms and bathrooms.
Kayla's lawyers even got involved in the pair's intense legal back-and-forth, stating, "[Ryan's] recurring and repeated irresponsible behavior shows he is unfit to exercise shared parental responsibility, and it would [be] a detriment to the minor children to award the same."
Did Ryan Throw Shade At Kayla With This Social Media Post?

Ryan denied using drugs in front of their children in a separate statement; however, he admitted to dealing with "substance abuse" in a recent social media video.
"I checked myself into a Florida recovery center," Lochte said before admitting he'd been pursuing a sober lifestyle. "The staff has been incredible. They helped me realize substance abuse isn't a solution. It's just a distraction that makes things worse." Ryan shared that he's feeling "much better, thinking clearly, motivated, and moving forward."
Weeks later, after trading more jabs with Kayla in court, Ryan shared a screenshot of lyrics to the song "Gold Digger" on his Instagram, pointedly highlighting the words, "Oh, she's a gold digger."
He captioned the post, "Always a good time to listen to the classics," and it came after Kayla requested the court make Ryan's financial statement available for her to view.
So, what's next in Ryan and Kayla's divorce saga? Only time will tell.
