The 36-year-old, in her chat with The Sunday Times, gave a detailed look into her childhood as the sister of the famous twins. Describing it as a very chaotic upbringing, the actress noted that she often spent her idle days on set, watching her big sisters do their thing.

Being the youngest of four kids, all born within five years, Elizabeth stated that she missed out on the typical childhood activities. According to her, things like calm baths and bedtime stories were not a staple in her whole childhood.

Now, she loves being the "friend or aunt who gets to come round and help with bedtime." The actress also enjoyed the support of her sister while she did her plays and performances growing up, although some of it was a result of forced attendance.

For years, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen have presented themselves as a brand in Hollywood, earning the admiration of many, within and without their immediate circle.

In March, PEOPLE reported that Elizabeth had rare but adorable words to say about her sisters and their dynamics, affirming that she is content being the baby of the family.

She emphasised that the closeness between the Olsen twins was something she truly respected, adding: "I also really admire the partnership that [Mary-Kate and Ashley] have and don't compete with it, in a way. It's something different."

Elizabeth described it as a different kind of connection, which is "interesting to watch." Earlier in 2022, she echoed the same thought, admitting that her sisters' kind of connection was an unattainable feat for her, although the age gap between the three of them was not so wide.

"I actually think it's an amazing feeling, being the younger sibling to twin sisters. If i was spoiled by one, the other wanted to match it. I loved it," the actress noted about growing up with the twins.

When the movie star set out to have an acting career in Hollywood, she thought of dropping her famous last name and picking up a much more regular middle name, Chase. She explained that, in her understanding, this would help dismiss any wave of nepotism in her story.

Auditioning for roles at the tender age of 10 was overwhelming for the actress, who noted that it threw off her schedule, causing her to miss other important commitments like her sports and extracurricular activities in school.

"I guess I understood what nepotism was like inherently as a 10-year-old. I don't know if I knew the word, but there is some sort of association of not earning something that I think bothered me at a very young age," she recalled.

Regardless, the actress saw her existence alongside these iconic figures as an advantage to her growth because she got clarity from watching them figure things out and also felt "very protected."

The Golden Globe Nominee Shared The Awkward Side To Being The Scarlet Witch

In 2022, The Blast shared that the TV star got candid about how the heavy use of effects on the set of Marvel leaves her feeling silly about playing her famous role.

She stressed that for people to understand the depth of just how much silly stuff goes down on set, a version of the film without special effects would be perfect evidence.

Regardless of this, Elizabeth expressed her immense pride in the spectacular work that goes into bringing the scenes and characters to life.

The actress referred to a scene from "Avengers: Infinity War," where Maximoff tried to mindstone from Vision's forehead while trying to stop Thanos from reaching it first.

She noted that it gets embarrassing shooting those kinds of scenes, but the state of the world as written in the plot depends on the actors executing the scenes perfectly.

Once that scene was done, Elizabeth recalled feeling very relieved and admitting that it takes lots of expertise to bring these silly scenes to life, regardless of what anyone felt.

The movie star, who has enjoyed her run as one of the most famous Marvel characters, dissected the intricacies of agreeing to multi-movie deals with any franchise.

As reported by The Blast in 2023, Elizabeth admitted that she is not a fan of the arrangement as it reduces the creative control of actors over their characters for subsequent installments.

She noted that it may also become more dicey if an actor discovers that they do not enjoy playing that character anymore, but nothing could be done due to their commitment. Elizabeth drew from her personal experiences as Maximoff in the MCU, where she also signed multi-movie deals.

"It took me away from the physical ability to do certain jobs that I thought were more aligned with the things I enjoyed as an audience member," she explained in a previous interview in 2022.
