Sydney Sweeney was recently praised by her "Christy" co-star Ben Foster for her professionalism and stamina amid what seems to be a never-ending backlash plaguing the actress.

While navigating controversies, including criticism over an American Eagle ad, political affiliation, and family photos, she has remained composed and unfazed in her interviews.

Sydney Sweeney's personal life has drawn attention, too, as she's been seen on multiple PDA-filled outings with her boyfriend, record executive Scooter Braun.

Sweeney is showing remarkable resilience as she navigates the most intense pressures Hollywood can throw her way, according to her "Christy" co-star Ben Foster.

The 28-year-old actress, who portrays boxing legend Christy Martin, has faced mounting scrutiny in the public eye, yet Foster says she refuses to be shaken.

Speaking to The Independent, the actor, 45, praised her work ethic and professionalism.

"Sydney is her own force. She came in extremely prepared, knew the crew's names, and was always ready to work," he shared. "I'd be knackered at the end of the day, and she'd go train for another three hours to fight the next morning … She's a powerhouse."

Sweeney's rising profile has brought both opportunity and controversy. Earlier this year, an American Eagle ad featuring her sparked a heated debate online.

The campaign's cheeky nod to her "good jeans" and "good genes" quickly drew criticism, with some accusing it of referencing white supremacy, eugenics, and Nazism.

The backlash intensified when her status as a registered Republican came to light, triggering waves of online criticism from social media's more politically charged corners.

This isn't new territory for Sweeney. In 2022, she faced criticism after posting photos from her mother's 60th birthday, which featured "Make Sixty Great Again" hats and relatives wearing "Blue Lives Matter" shirts, a move that drew a round of online scrutiny.

Despite the controversies, Foster admires how the "White Lotus" star handles it all.

"She's in a zeitgeist worldview that is… unique," he said. "And I think she's handling it incredibly well. She's a powerhouse."

He also praised her savvy on social media, a realm he personally avoids.

"I'm not on any social media at all," Foster noted. "And have never been. I think [my representatives] know me better than to push me into that. But she plays in that field. It's so important to this generation, to the future. I find her incredibly impressive."

Even with her professional poise, Sweeney admits the constant scrutiny can take a toll.

Speaking to Sky News, she revealed that asking for help is difficult because of the fear that it will be perceived as weakness.

"There's so much expectation on women to have it all together," she said. "If we ask for help, people think we're unprepared. A man can ask, and no one cares."

Amid the pressure, the "Euphoria" star finds ways to recharge. Over Thanksgiving, she traded Florida's sunny Keys for a chilly lake, posting a video waterskiing in a black wetsuit despite 42-degree weather.

Amid the wave of criticisms over her American Eagle jeans ad, Sweeney's personal life has also kept her in the spotlight.

Recently, she was seen enjoying time on a jet ski with boyfriend Scooter Braun at her $13 million waterfront mansion, displaying playful intimacy.

The couple has grown closer since being linked at Jeff Bezos' wedding in June, following the end of Sweeney's engagement to longtime fiancé Jonathan Davino.

Earlier this month, Sweeney caught attention when she was seen quietly getting into a car with her former fiancé in Los Angeles.

Before that, she had enjoyed a private dinner with friends at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, tucked away in one of the restaurant's back rooms while following Game 7 of the MLB World Series between the Dodgers and Blue Jays, an eyewitness told the Daily Mail.

The source described the dinner setting as "intimate and relaxed," noting that Sweeney seemed cheerful, laughing, and chatting throughout the game.

Shortly afterward, she was photographed slipping into a different vehicle, this time with Jonathan Davino, 42, behind the wheel. Images showed the two-time Emmy nominee ducking into the passenger seat as Davino drove off.

However, their apparent amicability did not last. TMZ reported that at one point during the encounter, Sweeney shouted, "I don't believe you. Please leave, leave me alone."

It's still unclear what caused the intense moment between the former lovers.
