Meghan King Gets Alone Thanksgiving Despite Supervised Visitation Right

Meghan King suffered yet another custody setback as her three children spent Thanksgiving with their father, Jim Edmonds, despite her Tuesdays and Thursdays supervised visitation rights. 

The development comes shortly after the reality star temporarily lost custody, a blow she appeared to acknowledge with a cryptic post.

Meghan King and Jim Edmonds were married from 2014 until their separation in 2019, finalizing their divorce in 2021. 

King's Thanksgiving without her three children this year raised questions about how the Missouri-based star plans to mark the holiday. 

Despite having supervised visitation on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a source says the kids will spend the holiday with their father and his wife, Kortnie, at their home in Tennessee.

The former couple originally agreed to a joint custody arrangement, but several incidents have strained the situation, and according to Page Six, tensions escalated in May when Kortnie called police on King for allegedly trespassing on their property.

King told responding officers that the incident was "mischaracterized." Her rep also explained, "Meghan briefly called to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her face, and calmly left her belongings on the porch."

Moments later, they said, she was blocked by multiple police vehicles and treated in a way that felt "unnecessarily hostile." 

King may be facing harsh speculation, but voices inside the Bravo circle are pushing back on the narrative. The Blast reported that her castmates stepped up to defend her, making it clear they want the ongoing family matter handled quietly and respectfully.

During an Innocence Center fundraiser on November 23, Emily Simpson, Shannon Beador, and Gina Kirschenheiter made it known they were in King's corner. 

Simpson explained that she avoids weighing in on situations she does not fully understand, noting her own challenges as a reminder that people often make assumptions without context.

Kirschenheiter added that King kept the issue off-camera, stressing that sensitive information pulled from court paperwork never should have circulated publicly in the first place.

She emphasized, "I fully believe that we don't know what's going on in that household, and nobody should be commenting about what's going on in that household," a sentiment Beador firmly backed.

The 41-year-old has remained mostly quiet since a recent court decision shifted custody arrangements in her ongoing dispute. Her public response has been limited, leaving fans searching for signs of what she might be thinking. 

However, The Blast highlighted that she shared an understated but pointed message that quickly drew attention. On November 23, the reality TV star shared an Instagram Story featuring a simple graphic celebrating "human rights," tagged in Kirkwood, Missouri.

Although she did not explain, the timing, days after the ruling, seemed to hint at her feelings without directly addressing the situation.

King's custody fight is not the first time her situation with Edmonds has stirred public conversation. Back in August, their feud bubbled up again when she pushed back at an online critic.

The person questioned her personal life and accused her of abandoning her marriage to Edmonds for a brief union with Cuffe Biden Owens. 

King did not hold back in her response to the critic, stating, "I don't get alimony, my children only receive child support when their father decides he wants to pay." The remark came after King posted about the realities of raising three kids largely on her own.

The exchange reopened old wounds, especially as King pointed out that her previous marriage to Owens was short-lived and unrelated to her current challenges. Their whirlwind wedding in late 2021 dissolved less than a year later.

King's custody shake-up sparked significant discussion after a judge placed her three children in the full care of her ex-husband for now. The Blast reported that the issue began when King arranged for one of her twin boys to receive a medication at school that had not been formally cleared for him. 

The school nurse was asked to give the drug, identified as Ritalin, even though the child had not been officially diagnosed with ADHD.

Once the request was made, school staff followed procedure and alerted the proper parties, setting off a chain of events that eventually led to the temporary change in custody.

While the decision is serious, it is not the final word. A follow-up hearing is scheduled for early December, where the court will decide whether this arrangement becomes long-term or if King will regain shared parenting responsibilities.

This latest holiday development adds to the growing friction between Meghan King and Jim Edmonds.
