The TV Star Slammed Fake News Of His Death In September

Trejo had his hands complete with a bit of drama two months back after his former castmate Leguizamo wrote R.I.P. over fake news of his passing on his Instagram Story.
As noted by The Daily Mail, Trejo quickly shut down the report on his Instagram, writing: "Thank you all for your concern, but I am very much alive. Someone is spreading fake news."
The reports came after the actor marked 57 years of being sober in August. Trejo achieved this impressive feat despite being out of multiple prisons in San Quentin, Folsom, and Soledad.
Expressing gratitude for his triumph, Trejo described his time in prison as a tough one for him, as no one thought he would make it out. In his words:
"The last thing I heard the parole board say in 1969 was, Bring us back a life sentence. We're sick and tired of you. I never went back. I mean, every day, every day for me is just a blessing."

At the celebration of his partnership with Sandbox VR for the Deadwood Valley Zombod challenge, the actor spoke to Entertainment Online about his approach to leading a healthy life.
He praised the VR technology at Sandbox as a way he keeps himself on alert mentally, alongside thousands of other users who have enjoyed the benefit of the community that the game offers.
Aside from indulging in the goodness of VR, the actor revealed that he also hosts fun game nights for his loved ones. When he is not doing these mentally challenging tasks, Trejo enjoys taking long walks while incorporating other exercises like bench presses, light weights, and crunches.
For his meals, he maintains a healthy diet of eggs, huevos, rancheros, and oatmeal for breakfast. "For lunch, or anytime, I eat tacos because they're easy. I focus on lots of protein, like fish, chicken, pork, and vegetables. I keep it clean and simple," he added.

Danny Trejo Tackled Kim Kardashian About Her Stance During The Los Angeles Wildfires

Beyond his job as an actor, Trejo also often weighed in on social issues affecting his environment. The Blast stated that during the devastating Palisades fires in Los Angeles, he shared his opinions on Kardashian’s comments about raising wages for inmates who served as firefighters during the crisis.
Trejo cautioned the business mogul not to shift the focus from what truly mattered, which was providing immediate help to victims of the fire.
He urged her to desist from trying to make the issue of wages a political situation, as his days as an inmate firefighter helped him understand that they were getting enough compensation for their efforts.
He added that sometimes, the inmates also volunteer for these life-threatening jobs in exchange for a reduction in their sentence, which is worth more than what payment can offer.
The actor concluded that paying the inmates firefighters more money also means a chunk of it would go towards restitution, ultimately making it a zero-sum game.
