Burruss announced her decision to split from Tucker during an interview with PEOPLE, explaining that the choice came after much "thought and a lot of prayer."
The reality star admitted that the end of her marriage has been quite challenging for her family; however, her focus is on her well-being and her three children, Riley, Ace, and Blaze.
While ending her 11-year marriage to Tucker will surely take some time for Burruss to get used to, she seems eager about what's to come.
"I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family," she said.

Bravo fans haven't seen much of Burruss and Tucker's relationship over the last year, as the XSCAPE singer announced her departure from the show in February 2024.
While at BravoCon 2025, though, Burruss thanked Tucker during her acceptance speech for the "Wifetime Achievement Award."
"To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions," she said. "You earned this award, too."
Indeed, throughout their years on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Burruss and Tucker have been the subject of many vicious rumors—many of which were about their relationship, leading to explosive arguments and heartbreaking fallouts.
Although Tucker wasn't present for this year's massive Bravo fan convention, he still showed Burruss a lot of love online, congratulating her and calling her "the GOAT."
Details About Kandi Burruss' Split From Tucker Revealed

According to TMZ, sources close to Burruss and Tucker revealed the pair quietly split several months ago after growing apart.
Despite the split, things are reportedly amicable between the pair and there's "legitimately no drama."
The insider also shared that Burruss stopped wearing her wedding ring earlier in 2025, but she and Tucker still speak on the phone every day.

For those unfamiliar with Burruss and Tucker's relationship, the pair met behind the scenes during season 4 of "RHOA." They married shortly after in a Bravo special called "Kandi's Wedding."
During their decade on the show, they experienced many ups and downs, from family drama to career struggles, which ultimately put a strain on their union.
In a season 15 episode, Burruss admitted that her lofty goals of winning an EGOT and expanding her legacy put pressure on her family. "I’m trying to do so much, and I know he wants his dreams to come true as well," she said, per The Daily Dish. "But I don’t know how to make it all work."
Elsewhere in the episode, the "Understanding" singer got candid about how balancing their busy schedules sometimes causes more harm than good.
"Todd and I are very driven people, and lately his movie is taking up a lot of our family time. I know I’m busy, and I tried to show up for the family and do everything that I need to do, so I’m gonna need him to show up the same way. Sometimes I feel like I just can’t win with Todd," she said.
Fans React To Burruss And Tucker's Split
Before Burruss' official announcement, eagle-eyed fans began speculating that there was trouble in paradise, pointing to the reality star's choice to drop "Tucker" from her name on Instagram.
"Omg wait are they broken up? I wasn’t always a fan of Todd, but I root for any marriage to work out especially on these shows," someone wrote on Reddit.
"Soon as I saw that they both stopped wearing their rings I knew something was wrong. Well if it for the best so be it," another user wrote.
"I’m not a big Kandi fan but she deserves soooo much better," a third posted.
