Legal trouble seems to be following the stars of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Potomac" everywhere, and Mia Thornton is the latest to wind up behind bars. According to a new report, the outspoken reality star was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been accused of stealing more than $10,000 worth of items. Thornton isn't the only "Potomac" star in trouble with the law, considering OG Karen Huger was recently released from prison, and Wendy Osefo and her husband were arrested in October on fraud charges.

Several outlets reported the news, including TMZ and CBS News. Thornton, a former "Real Housewives" star and mother of three, was busted at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after officers responded to reports of a wanted person.
CBS News reported that Thornton has been accused of stealing furniture from a condo she was renting on Marietta Street.
The report explains that the condo management company alleges Thornton and a man identified as Jared McGriff "suddenly moved" out of their residence in the middle of the night, taking furniture and a television.
According to the legal documents, the cost of the items is estimated at around $11,000.

While Thornton hasn't publicly addressed her arrest, she confirms in the body camera footage that she was aware of her warrant.
In the video, Thornton begins breaking down in tears as the officer handcuffs her, informing her that she will be transferred to the Fulton County jail.
At another point in the clip, Thornton seems to confirm that she was aware of the allegedly missing furniture, telling the officer that she wanted to call a man to retrieve the items from storage and return them to their rightful place.

Before her arrest, Thornton spent four years on the Potomac iteration of the highly successful reality TV franchise.
Following a contentious season nine, which wrapped in 2024, the reality star announced her plan to leave the series for greener pastures.
"With every new season comes a new beginning, and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season," she wrote on Instagram.
In her announcement, Thornton reflected on her "RHOP" journey and expressed gratitude for the uniquely special time in her life.
"The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey, one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories. I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story," she added.
She finished by teasing her big move and telling fans to hang tight for exciting news and fresh opportunities.
"I don't just make headlines — I make History. Atlanta, brace yourself. The empire has expanded," she concluded.
Wendy Osefo Arrested And Charged

Thornton is the third "RHOP" star to face legal woes this year, following Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, who were arrested and charged with fraud in October 2025.
According to a previous report from The Blast, the Osefos' criminal charges followed Maryland law enforcement officers' claim that the pair reported a burglary that never happened to secure hefty payouts from insurance companies.
During BravoCon 2025, Wendy addressed the allegations against her and hinted that she and her husband were remaining in good spirits.
"I read your messages. I can't respond to everyone, but your love and support means the world to me," Wendy said. "You know, it's an unfortunate situation, and right now I can't say too much, but I will say when the time is right, I will share my story with everyone, and for now they're just allegations, so we will continue to push forward."

Before Wendy's arrest, her co-star, Karen Huger, was sentenced to prison at the top of 2025 after being found guilty of her fourth DUI charge.
She was sentenced to a year in prison; however, she was released from the Montgomery County Detention Center in September after serving six months.
Although Huger didn't film season 10 as a regular cast member, the network teased a "deeply personal" reunion between her and Andy Cohen during the upcoming finale.
"It's time to talk about my addiction," Huger says in the clip.
According to Bravo, Huger's interview "unveils a never-before-seen side of Karen where she shares her plans for the next chapter of her life after her release and provides a vulnerable look behind her Grande Dame exterior."
