Zach Bryan has revealed a raw and personal side of his life that fans rarely see.
The country singer, known for hits like “I Remember Everything” and “Something in the Orange,” announced on Instagram that he is two months sober.
Bryan shared that the decision came after a 20-day solo motorcycle trip across the country, which led him to confront his struggles with alcohol and mental health head-on.
His post detailed the pressures of fame, the lingering effects of military service, and a desperate need to find personal clarity.

In his Instagram post, Zach Bryan explained how his decade in the military and sudden fame affected him mentally.
“Being in the military for a decade and then thrown into a spotlight that I hadn’t fully comprehended the scope of, had some subconscious effects on me as a person,” he wrote.
In addition, the 29-year-old admitted that he wasn’t content but also feared showing any weakness, explaining that it didn’t align with his personality or the way he had been raised.
According to Bryan, his previous reliance on alcohol was more about filling an emotional void than enjoyment.
“I was always reaching for alcohol, not for the taste, but because there was a consistent black hole in me that always needed its void filled,” he shared, highlighting the deep internal struggle behind his drinking.

Zach Bryan also detailed how external pressures compounded his mental health struggles.
Being lied about and “doxxed on the internet” caused what he described as “earth-shattering panic attacks.”
Despite success, wealth, and supportive friends, the singer admitted that anxiety could be paralyzing.
“I thought since I was successful, had the money I always longed for, and had great friends, that I could tough anything out,” he said.
To regain control, Bryan sought therapy to address his toxic relationship with alcohol and learn how to navigate major life changes.
He credited this support for helping him commit to sobriety. “I haven’t touched alcohol for nearly two months now — something I had to do for my own personal clarity,” he wrote, adding that he needed to see the world objectively.
Zach Bryan Discusses Family Support And Newfound Clarity

Bryan may have made the big move to get his life back in order, but the star made it clear that his family played a crucial role in his journey.
“They supported every step I took,” he said, noting that their encouragement helped him embrace sobriety fully.
Bryan described his current state as transformative, adding, “I feel great. I feel content. I feel whole. There’s nothing I need to get me by anymore.”
While acknowledging the challenges of letting go of old habits, he maintained a balanced perspective, noting that he didn’t believe in absolutes and suggested that maybe one day he would learn to control his habits.
Bryan Urges Others To Seek Help

Ending his heartfelt post, Bryan reached out to fans struggling with similar issues.
“I just want to say that it is okay to be weak at times and need help,” he wrote.
He encouraged those hesitant to confront their relationship with alcohol, reminding them that even the most stubborn person on the planet did and doesn’t regret it.
Zach Bryan’s transparency comes after a turbulent year, including a public breakup with podcaster Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia and a viral altercation with fellow singer Gavin Adcock.
Yet, he also noted major professional achievements, such as setting the record for the largest ticketed concert in U.S. history at a Michigan stadium.
By sharing his path to sobriety, Bryan hopes to offer guidance and reassurance to fans facing their own struggles.
“God speed everybody! I pray this helps someone,” he concluded.
Zach Bryan Addresses Comments Regarding His Song About ICE

Bryan’s post comes over a month after he clarified his political stance after facing backlash over lyrics about ICE in one of his songs.
As The Blast reported, the songwriter explained that the track was written months ago, and the message had been misunderstood.
Bryan emphasized, “This song is about how much I love this country and everyone in it more than anything.”
He also addressed concerns about taking a political side, insisting, “I wasn’t speaking as a politician or some greater‑than‑thou *sshole, just a 29‑year‑old man who is just as confused as everyone else.”
The backlash, he said, left him not only embarrassed but kind of scared, showing the intensity of reactions from fans across the spectrum.
Bryan reassured followers that he doesn’t align with extreme views, adding, “To be clear, I’m on neither of these radical sides.”
He clarified that the full version of the song provides more context and that he intended to express love for the country and its people, not to make a political statement.
