Kyle Richards Doubles Down On Her Sexuality As Her 'Mind Has Opened Up'

Kyle Richards is ditching all the labels for her new era of finding love.

The reality star shared her new resolution with the teeming crowd at BravoCon, stating that there are no hold bars in her romantic future from now on.

Kyle Richards got back on the market when she separated from her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, in 2023, after 27 years of marriage.

The media personality addressed the speculations that grew from her statement on the season 15 trailer of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," where she joked about going both ways when it comes to dating.

She stressed that she does not like labels, and most recently, her preferences have now evolved, and her mind is more open to exploring her sexuality. "I am growing and evolving, and my mind has opened up. So I don't know. I don't know what the future holds now, and I'm fine with that," she noted.

Richards further confessed to Variety interviewers that she would totally consider dating a lesbian these days, even though that never crossed her mind before.

Despite all of these, Richards is still very content with her single status; in fact, she is not looking forward to any blind date set-ups either. "Whatever happens, happens. I'm actually really happy spending time alone," she concluded.

The rumors surrounding Richards' friendship with Morgan Wade filtered to her kids, and she instantly knew she had to have that difficult conversation. As noted by Bravo, the TV star confessed that it was a very difficult conversation for her, but she knew she had to be very honest.

Richards herself admitted that she was also shocked about the theories that rose from her friendship with Wade, but what needed to be said needed to be said.

"I like to lead by example and I thought, 'You know, if this is what I'm going through and feeling, I want them to always feel comfortable enough to share with me the hardest conversations and know that they'll be accepted no matter what,'" the reality star continued.

Well, the conversation with her four kids went so well, and their reaction, plus open-mindedness, left her beaming with pride about her job as a mother and a guardian.

What Garcelle Beauvais intended to be an empowering moment for Richards on her sexuality turned sour down the line. Beauvais had encouraged Richards to own her truth during an episode of their Bravo show where they stepped out for lunch.

While Richards doused the tension by laughing things off at the table, The Blast stated that she came hard at Beauvais for making the statement maliciously.

"You're being an assh-le right now. And don't try to act like, 'Oopsie daisy,' you know exactly what you're doing," Richards stated, adding that Beauvais' statement would absolutely set a target on her back for the tabloids.

Beauvais, however, stated that she was not about that life and was only trying to get Richards out of her shell. She blamed the mother-of-four for always paying attention to what people thought of her while forgetting that she is grown up enough to choose her path.

Well, not long after her comments about Richards embracing her sexuality on the show, Beauvais took a bow from the series.

She announced her decision to her Instagram followers, describing her time on the series for the past five years as a wild ride, which has witnessed amazing things and not-so-amazing things happen to her.

As reported by The Blast, the exit was pretty shocking, and Richards did her best to reach out to her former co-star in the spirit of showmanship; sadly, Richards got zero hits in return.

Beauvais explained that her reason for leaving the show was to focus on other career opportunities and also focus on her teenage sons while they ventured into deeper aspects of their lives.

The reality star added that she might still reconsider coming back on the show in the near future, so no final decisions have been made yet. Richards registered her disappointment at Beauvais leaving the show as she wished her the absolute best moving forward.

Her exit from that nearly three-decade-old marriage really broke the camel's back as she found herself learning and unlearning several things about herself, including who she is attracted to.

Richards described that period as a personally challenging and confusing one for her, but it felt good to remain honest about her struggles. She also never considered that side of her life until the last couple of years; basically, the realization crept up on her, and now she chooses to learn things for herself. 

Richards and Umansky's split came as a shock, especially after such a long and promising time together; however, there were reports of infidelity on his part, which reportedly played a role in the separation.

For her and Wade's friendship, the reality star is adamant about the fact that things are purely platonic between the two of them.
