Megyn Kelly has daring opinions on who Jeffrey Epstein is, disputing the “pedophile” tag he's known for in support for Donald Trump.
Epstein was convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution and was charged with sex trafficking minors and conspiracy to sex traffic minors.
In the wake of recently released emails linking Epstein to Trump, Kelly has offered a controversial argument for why the deceased offender should not be classified as a child molester, claiming the ages of the girls he targeted were close to the legal age.
Megyn Kelly Says Jeffrey Epstein Was Not ‘A Pedophile’
The conservative commentator shared her take on the latest episode of her SiriusXM podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” saying her views were shaped by conversations with a source closely connected to the Epstein case.
“Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile,” Kelly said. “This is this person's view, who was there for a lot of this, but that he was into the barely legal type. Like, he liked 15-year-old girls.”
In a moment of reflection, the journalist admitted to it being disturbing, saying, “I realize this is disgusting,” but continued defending the disgraced financier. “He wasn't into, like, 8-year-olds, but he liked the very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were,” she said.
The former Fox News host went on to argue that no alleged victim has said they were extremely young, such as 8, 10, or even under 14 when Epstein first encountered them. She emphasized that, while any exploitation is “disgusting,” she believes there is a difference between a “15-year-old and a five-year-old.”
Newly Published Jeffrey Epstein Emails Hint At Donald Trump's Involvement

Kelly's remarks come just days after Trump appeared in Epstein's private correspondence, a timing that suggests she may be attempting to shield the president.
As The Blast reported, two emails were found among the 23,000 documents Epstein's estate turned over to the House Oversight Committee.
One 2011 message from the deceased convict to Ghislaine Maxwell claimed that Trump allegedly "spent hours" at his residence with one of the minors.
The text also referred to Trump as "a dog that hasn't barked." The email continued, "(Redacted name) spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned... police chief etc. I'm 75% there." Maxwell replied, "I have been thinking about that."
Another chat showed Epstein telling journalist Michael Wolff that the real estate mogul knew about his trafficking activities and even asked Maxwell to "stop." Epstein additionally claimed Trump forced him to resign from Mar-a-Lago.
How The White House Responded To The Shocking Emails

Following the revelations, the White House strongly denied them, even disclosing the identity of the victim referenced in the exchange.
Although the victim's name was originally redacted, press secretary Karoline Leavitt identified her as the late Virginia Giuffre, Epstein's most famous accuser, The Blast reported.
Leavitt emphasized that Giuffre herself had publicly stated multiple times that President Trump was never involved in Epstein's wrongdoing and was always polite during their brief encounters.
The secretary insisted that the emails were “selectively” released to damage the commander-in-chief’s reputation.
She also reiterated Trump's past claim that he expelled Epstein from Mar-a-Lago long before the trafficking allegations surfaced due to Epstein's inappropriate behavior toward female staff, including Giuffre.
Republicans Joined In On Defending Donald Trump

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee backed the White House's stance and criticized Democrats for how they handled the emails.
In a statement posted on X, they questioned why Democrats chose to redact Virginia Giuffre's name when Epstein's estate had not done so in the documents submitted to the committee.
They asserted that the reason for hiding her identity was that Giuffre had publicly stated that she never saw Trump engage in any wrongdoing. The members further accused Democrats of manufacturing a false narrative to damage Trump’s image and concluded their statement with, "Shame on them."
Michael Wolff Claims Epstein And Trump Had A Deep Bond

Despite denials from the White House, Michael Wolff has alleged that Trump shared a close relationship with Epstein, rooted in their shared interest in models.
As previously reported by The Blast, Wolff said on his “Inside Trump's Head” podcast that the two men had a "deep" bond and knew "everything about each other" before later falling out bitterly.
Wolff added that their connection was strengthened by a mutual "obsession" with models. He pointed out that both had owned modeling agencies and claimed he had seen photos of young women sitting topless on Trump's lap.
