Denise Richards Wins Again In Bitter Divorce As Abuse Claims Stick

Denise Richards has got Aaron Phypers out of her hair for the next half-decade at least, according to a new court order.

The Bravo alum just scored a serious win in court as the institution rewarded her legal efforts at getting her estranged husband to stay out of her life for a considerable moment.

Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers have spent most of this year fighting off each other with one petition or the other since he filed for divorce on July 7 based on irreconcilable differences.

The TV star clinched the win today after the judge granted a five-year restraining order against Phypers with an expiry date set at November 7, 2030. The judgment comes on the heels of scathing allegations of physical abuse against Phypers by the former reality star.

Now, Phypers’ new normal under the new judgment includes restricted ownership of guns and no purchase; he must also never abuse Richards or attempt to disturb her peace by reaching out to her. The court also permitted the TV personality to record any conversation shared with Phypers.

The frequency medicine practitioner must also return his estranged wife’s devices and refrain from sharing images or information about her to the media. PEOPLE reported that Phypers was ordered to delete and return any image of Richards during surgery that is in his iCloud account.

While the restraining order hearing went on, Richards disclosed to the court that through bouts of physical abuse, she suffered about three separate injuries. These back-to-back concussions reportedly made the former reality TV star fear for her safety.

She identified the three incidents with specific dates, the first one being in 2022, when he gave her a black eye. Richards recalled another violent incident later that year, where he slammed her against a concrete wall and hit her head on it at the carport in his wellness center.

Another went down this year at his facility after a Chicago episode. She accused her estranged husband of squeezing her hand so hard and shoved her head after trying to kill her so many times.

Just this September, Richards claimed her ex-husband came to their former home to grab his laptop and then proceeded to ask her for her phone, which she carefully hid in her shorts. 

A refusal to hand him the device led to a brief scuffle where he overpowered Richards, grabbed her arms, and pushed her down the stairs. The frequency medicine practitioner then left the building with his laptop, purse, and credit cards in hand.

The estranged couple could not see eye to eye on their Los Angeles home, where one enjoyed the company of the other as a man and wife. The Blast noted that Richards had accused his ex and his family of failing to keep the house in an optimum condition following her exit.

She claimed her ex and his brother, alongside his parents, who stayed on the six-bedroom property, were left in a sorry state by tearing up the floors and stuffing the room with unnecessary items.

She accompanied her complaints with pictorial evidence of the property, with piles of boxes lying around, clothes, papers, and visible damage all over the building.

However, Richards did not forget to inform interested fans that she also stopped footing the house rent in January, and her estranged husband has refused to leave the building. By August, the landlord demanded that she pay up her rent and move out of the home after owing rent for earlier months.

The Bravo alum caused conversations two months ago when she stepped out in Calabasas with a big, black bruising under her eye, leading to multiple theories about what could have been.

The Blast reported that her worrisome appearance brought back memories of her stories about domestic violence from Phypers. She also appeared very withdrawn on her outing, where she donned a face cap to hide the bruising, which insiders later confirmed as an effect of a beauty procedure, precisely microneedling and PRP injections.

Other sources claimed the black eye was not real and only appeared that way due to lighting and shadow. The bruising appeared shortly after reports filtered out that she got into a heated confrontation with her estranged husband's folks when she arrived at their Calabasas home to reportedly retrieve her dog.

The reality star had allegedly gained entry into the home forcefully and launched a nasty verbal attack against her ex-in-laws before aiming at her estranged brother-in-law.

The TV star graced the 15th season of the show, which she left in 2020, with a cameo to give a situation report about her failed marriage to Phypers. Richards linked up with her former co-stars at a restaurant in the episode where she addressed everything, including the leaked nudes.

Richards was apparently still dumbfounded by Phypers' dark act to release such vulgar images of her and did not hold back on admitting she still lives with fear of her former husband.

The media personality and her ex were familiar faces on the show, which Richards became a part of in 2019 shortly after she married Phypers.

Things really descended into a nightmare between the former lovers this year as Phypers got booked on four felony charges connected to the domestic violence allegations from Richards.

He was briefly held in jail over two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of confronting a witness with force or threat. Phypers was duly released from the holding facility after a few hours and posted a $200,000 bail to that effect.
