Jennifer Lawrence is known for her honesty, and she didn’t hold back when revealing why she turned down an intimacy coordinator while filming her new movie “Die My Love.”
The Oscar-winning actress, who stars alongside Robert Pattinson in the psychological drama, opened up about the bold decision during an appearance on “Las Culturistas.”
Lawrence said she felt completely safe filming explicit scenes with Pattinson, explaining that the actor’s personality and professionalism made her feel at ease throughout the shoot.
Jennifer Lawrence Trusted Robert Pattinson Completely On Set

Lawrence revealed that there was no awkwardness between her and Pattinson while filming intimate scenes for "Die My Love."
“We did not have [an intimacy coordinator], or maybe we did but we didn’t really,” she said per the Daily Mail on "Las Culturistas." “I felt really safe with Rob. He is not pervy and very in love with [his partner] Suki Waterhouse.”
The 35-year-old explained that they built a genuine trust and understanding while working together.
“There was never any weird like, ‘Does he think I like him?’” Lawrence added. “If there was a little bit of that I would probably have an intimacy coordinator. A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f*** them, and then the punishment starts. He was not like that.”
The Hollywood star shared that much of their time on set was spent talking about their kids and relationships, which helped her feel relaxed and respected.
Their friendship and ease with one another, she said, made filming such vulnerable moments far more comfortable.
Lawrence’s Raw Performance In ‘Die My Love’ Draws Praise

Jennifer Lawrence’s fearless portrayal of Grace, a young mother descending into madness, has already attracted early Oscar buzz.
In the Lynne Ramsay–directed film, Grace struggles with psychosis after childbirth while her partner Jackson, played by Pattinson, becomes increasingly “useless.”
The project was physically and emotionally demanding, but critics have praised Lawrence for her willingness to dive deep into the role’s pain and intensity.
The star also appears nude in the film, which she filmed while pregnant with her second child.
“I don’t care about nudity. I’m not sensitive about it,” she said per Vulture at a screening. “I wanted Lynne to have total freedom artistically.”
The “Hunger Games” actress shared that this mindset came from confidence and perspective, something she had gained with time and motherhood.
Jennifer Lawrence Found New Confidence While Filming Pregnant

Lawrence admitted that filming while pregnant helped her embrace her body and let go of old insecurities.
“I think being pregnant took a lot of vanity anxiety away,” she said. “Before No Hard Feelings, I was dieting and not eating carbs and working out. I was pregnant [for Die My Love]. Like, what was I gonna do? Not eat? I was working 15 hours a day. I was just tired.”
She even rejected the idea of having her body digitally edited in post-production.
She revealed, “I remember, like, them sending over a close-up of cellulite and being like, ‘Do you want us to touch this up?’ And I was like, ‘No. That’s an a**.’”
Lawrence And Pattinson Share A Hilarious Friendship
The bond between Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson extends beyond the film set.
She recently shared a hilarious story on “The Graham Norton Show” about inviting him over one night and accidentally feeding him food from her trash.
“So I had my girlfriends over, we were in our pajamas, we were watching Little Women. It was December,” she said. “He was like, ‘Hey, I just wrapped something like a block away from you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ ‘Cause Rob is one of the girls. He wants to gossip.”
When Pattinson arrived, Lawrence said she offered him something to eat only realizing later that the food she gave him had come from the garbage.
“He goes to the bathroom, and I do have food, but it’s in the trash,” she said, laughing. “So while he was in the bathroom, I was just, like, pulling food out of my garbage can.”
Her girlfriends were horrified, but Pattinson didn’t mind.
“He was like, ‘Oh, I don’t mind,’ and he just pulled it out of the trash and kept eating it,” she recalled.
Jennifer Lawrence On Dancing Naked And Working With Martin Scorsese

Lawrence also revealed that “Die My Love” involved some challenging and embarrassing rehearsals.
“Lynne Ramsay the director challenged us during rehearsals, Robert Pattinson and I had to do interpretative dance lessons together,” she said. “We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn’t really know each other, so it was totally humiliating.”
However, things got even more surprising once filming began.
She recalled that on the first day of filming, the director asked if they remembered what they had done before and whether they would do it naked.
Lawrence admitted she was taken by surprise and joked, “Should I have said no? You all seem quite shocked.”
The project came to her through none other than Martin Scorsese.
“He said I should play the character. When I read the book, I had a hard time imagining it as a movie, but I wasn’t going to correct Marty!” she revealed.
