Hugh Jackman & Sutton Foster Finally Rise Above Being 'Nervous' To Go Red Carpet Official

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster made their long-awaited red carpet debut as a couple on Sunday night, marking their first public appearance together since confirming their romance earlier this year. 

The milestone comes just months after sources revealed that Foster had been "nervous" about taking their relationship public, despite their growing closeness.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, who first connected during their run in "The Music Man", were holding off on any official appearances as they navigated scrutiny surrounding their relationship.

Jackman and Foster finally made their red carpet debut as a couple, stepping out together for the premiere of "Song Song Blue" at AFI Fest in Los Angeles. The pair turned heads as they arrived at the TCL Chinese Theatre, confidently posing for photos and showing clear chemistry on Jackman's big night.

The actor kept things classic in a tailored black suit and tie, while Foster opted for a sleek black satin gown that matched his look. She carried a small clutch and could not hide her smile as she stood beside him. 

Although this marks a major public moment in their relationship, The Daily Mail reported that just days earlier, they were seen at Richard Marx's "After Hours Confession" show in New York City. 

Before their big Hollywood debut, Jackman and Foster almost had a red carpet moment that did not quite happen. They attended the Fetch Pet Gala in New York City last Monday, where many expected them to walk together for the first time.

According to the outlet, photographers were ready for the couple's official appearance, but plans changed unexpectedly at the last minute. Guests at the event were reportedly surprised when Foster appeared alone, despite talk that she and Jackman would arrive side by side.

Foster, who showed up shortly after cocktail hour began, looked happy and relaxed but was said to be a "bit overwhelmed by all the photographers." She skipped interviews and kept a low profile before heading inside.

Foster's reluctance was not simply about facing cameras. Insiders say she had been uneasy about making her relationship with Jackman public on the red carpet for a while.

The Blast reported that while many assumed their separate appearances were due to busy schedules or a need for privacy, Foster's hesitation was more personal.

A source revealed, "Sutton is still nervous about taking that big step into Hugh's world." The pair, who first confirmed their romance after being spotted at a quiet dinner in California, have mostly kept their relationship low-key. 

Their only joint public sighting before Sunday came a few days ago, when they were seen laughing and joking together as they arrived at LaGuardia Airport in New York. 

Back in July, while his girlfriend was enjoying a major career high, Jackman faced one of his toughest moments in the spotlight. The Blast noted that Foster's "Sutton in Concert" tour was selling out venues across the country, with fans scrambling for tickets months ahead. 

Jackman, on the other hand, was preparing for back-to-back nights at Radio City Music Hall, but demand was unexpectedly low. Ticket resale prices reportedly dropped to just $20.

This was said to stem from rumors surrounding Jackman's alleged affair. Jackman and Foster had shared the stage on Broadway, and their closeness reportedly developed while he was still married to Deborra-Lee Furness, sparking talk of an emotional relationship between the two.

Furness is said to be unimpressed with his relationship with Foster. The Blast reported that the 69-year-old believes her former husband's new romance will not stand the test of time, despite reports that the pair are living together in Jackman's New York home.

An insider disclosed that Furness is calling it a  "total rebound fantasy." They also noted that she has "joked to friends that she's taking bets on how long it'll last, and she's putting her money on under a year."

The producer reportedly feels the 57-year-old jumped into something new too quickly without taking time to fully process their separation.
