‘F9: The Fast Saga’ star Jordana Brewster has just finished the divorce with her ex-husband, Andrew Form, and has agreed to pay him $5 million as a part of the settlement. But, there may be a silver lining for the star in the agreement.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the actress filed her divorce settlement with the Los Angeles County Court, which included detailed how the former couple split up their estate. In the documents, they agreed neither would pay the other spousal support, but they would split the money in their L.A. home.
In the settlement, the longtime “Fast & Furious” franchise star will get the house but agreed to pay $5 Million to her ex-husband, which represents his half of the couple’s former marital home. As we reported, they had previously agreed to bifurcate their marital status before finalizing the financial part of their divorce. In other words, they have been legally single for quite some time.
But, they agreed “any income earned by either party from the date of separation (May 13, 2020) and thereafter as a result of their personal and professional effort, including projects created or made during the marriage, shall be the separate property of the earning party. The reason this one is possibly extremely important is that Jordana is starring in the latest film of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise — and it is raking in the dought at the box office. In most cases, the main stars of a movie will get bonuses or percentages connected to how well the film does in ticket sales.
So, it might be very important to Brewster to keep the whole amount on the next few paychecks from ‘F9: The Fast Saga.’
According to reports, Fast & Furious 9 already brought in more than $70 Million on its first weekend in box office sales. The movie oped in several other territories giving it a massive income of $287 Million worldwide. It was one of a number of films that delayed their release due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A few scenes of the movie were actually shot back in 2019. The new James Bond film is now scheduled for a September release. The latest installment of the franchise stars John Cena, who plays an estranged brother of the lead character Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel.) Charlize Theron, Cardi B, and Dame Helen Mirren all have cameos in the film.
As we previously reported, Jordana and her ex-husband, have two sons together. It appears there is no issue with sharing joint custody and must have hammered out some sort of arrangement for their children.
At this point, a judge will still need to sign off on the divorce settlement — but in most cases, that is just a rubber stamp after the two parties have hashed out the agreement with their respective lawyers or use of a private judge. This way the details of the back-and-forth can remain private, with only the final settlement to be public.
