Brad Pitt Is NOT Dating 'The United States vs. Billie Holiday' Star Andra Day

Andra Day cleared up any rumors about her possibly dating Brad Pitt, saying it is impossible because she doesn't even know him!

The actress who is starring in an upcoming biopic about the legendary singer, Billie Holiday, addressed the story on the red carpet of the 'BET' Awards saying she heard about the situation after her sister called to check if she was with one of the biggest stars in the world.

According to a report, Brad Pitt allegedly swapped numbers with the actress backstage at the Academy Awards. "They were flirting backstage and are believed to have swapped numbers. It could be just professional, but some of Brad’s pals have been talking about what a great couple they would make," claimed The Mirror. 

But, as Andra headed into last night's awards, she spoke to Entertainment Tonight, cleaning up the rumor once and for all.

"Oh my gosh, child, especially because we've never met," she said after being questioned about the situation. She continued, "So I was like, 'Oh, alright.' My sister actually hit me up after, she was like, 'You met Brad Pitt?' I said, 'I guess so. I guess we did.'"

The actress made sure to be clear about her answers, saying, "We're not dating. We don't even know each other. It is hilarious. It was thin air. Somebody was bored that day." Like anyone, it's not the worst thing in the world to be included in rumors about dating one of the hottest people on the planet, so she added, "He's great, though, super talented, wonderful."

At the Awards Show, Andra took home the Best Actress Award for her role as Billie Holiday. "It's our peers and our people, and I think especially with a movie like United States Vs. Billie Holliday, Lee [Daniels] really made the movie for us," she said. Adding, "That's who was on set and that's who was in our hearts and in our minds when we made it. So for our peers to say, 'We love this. This is special to us,' it means everything."

As we reported, Brad Pitt is still negotiating a divorce settlement with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Several weeks ago, Brad was awarded joint custody of his children after a bitter battle with the actress. A private judge in the case made a "tentative ruling" after hearing months of evidence, witnesses, and reading documentation connected to the case.

The private trial lasted several months and included testimony from people who have been around the couple's children, and the judge issued a ruling based on all the facts.“There was a safety order surrounding the previous custody arrangements, that is public, and the kids’ schedule has been set under the jurisdiction of the division of family services for over three years,” a source told Page Six.

In the end, is it such a bad thing that everyone thinks you might be dating Brad Pitt?! No, not really!
