Charlie Puth Announces 'Changes' To His Family Life With New Music

Charlie Puth is going to be a first-time daddy!

The singer joyfully announced a soon-to-be change in status alongside a new single and a new album just right around the corner, four years after his last project.

Charlie Puth tied the knot with his wife, Brooke Sansone, in 2024 in his family home in Montecito, two years after they began dating, and now they will become first-time parents.

The producer put a new spin on pregnancy announcements by keeping it as fun and light-handed as possible. What fans thought was a short clip to his latest single, "Changes," quickly turned into the most heartwarming content towards the end.

Puth, dressed in a denim blue shirt and red tie combo, had fun in a room filled with musical instruments as the video effect spun him around on a giant smiley face ball.

In the pregnancy reveal video, Puth and Sansone stood on a big piano in their color-coordinated outfits and looked into each other's eyes. The singer then gave the hint away by gently rubbing his wife's belly, confirming that they are expecting a mini-me.

Puth captioned the video with an exciting sentence, alluding to the song title and the latest development in his life. "There's been some changes," the musician wrote on the 21-second-long clip of bliss and happy shenanigans.

The heartwarming video caught the attention of thousands of Instagram users, who liked and commented, expressing their genuine happiness for the producer and his family.

"CANT WAIT FOR PUTH JR. CONGRATS," this user wrote, as another noted that the pregnancy was under heavy speculation at some point, but it felt surreal to have them confirm it.

"When are you doing the gender reveal for the baby girl or baby boy?" this very forward-thinking admirer queried in the comments. One more commenter affirmed that the song is "LIT" alongside a shoutout to the pregnancy.

"Congratulations! So happy for you guys! Wishing the mommy a healthy delivery," this follower added to the bubbly comment section. Puth's new album will be released on March 6, and it is titled "Whatever's Clever."

By the time the public became aware of the recording artist and Sansone’s relationship, Puth noted that it represented just a fraction of their history, which had been ongoing for years. As reported by The Blast, the musician revealed that he and his future wife at the time grew up together.

He explained to Howard Stern during their interview that, due to the hectic nature of his job and the unpredictability of life, it had become imperative to have a familiar face supporting and cheering him through it all.

Puth emphasized his love for Sansone, adding that she has remained a constant representation of generosity and kindness in his life. The award-winning singer was beyond positive that Sansone would weather the terrible storms of life with him.

After Puth proposed in September 2023 over dinner at 11:11 pm in New York City, the couple swung into wedding prep mode, first informing their families what had just happened via FaceTime. 

The following year, Puth and Sansone tied the knot in Montecito at the family home of her husband. Sansone told Vogue that the venue and entire ceremony matched her childhood dream of what tying the knot would look like.

"We chose the Puth family residence because we just knew Montecito would offer the perfect backdrop," the College of Charleston alum declared. That is not all; the interior decor expert also opted to trust her styling prowess for the wedding weekend and wore a Danielle Frankel wedding dress on her big day.

Puth and his heartthrob exchanged their vows in his parents' driveway, right in front of the olive tree that captured Sansone's heart the first time she visited Puth's home.

Puth has indeed come a long way from the man who got emotional on TikTok in 2022 while promoting the single to eventually finding true love and almost becoming a daddy. The Blast reported that the singer revealed the track reminded him of 2019, a particularly difficult period in his life.

According to him, he went through the worst breakup of his life around that time, which coincided with his dating Charlotte Lawrence. He noted that all he wanted to do at that time was put everything behind him and start things afresh, but it was not easy.

Lawrence and Puth went public with their relationship in 2019 in a deleted video. However, things did not last long between the duo as Puth confirmed their split in September of the same year.
