The consequences of Nicki Minaj's and her husband, Kenneth Petty's, actions may escalate to her home.

The rapper faces the risk of losing her $20 million Los Angeles mansion over not paying a man whom her husband allegedly assaulted. The incident took place in 2019 at her concert in Germany and should have been settled, but the couple refuses to pay the $500,000 awarded to the assaulted security guard.

Nicki Minaj and her husband are no strangers to court cases, as they have both been sued for different offences. Earlier this year, she had a lawsuit filed against her for allegedly getting physically violent with her former manager.

Back in 2019, Petty allegedly assaulted a man, and Minaj may have to pay with her $20 million L.A. mansion.  The assaulted security guard, Thomas Weidenmüller, claimed in court documents that the rapper and her husband have refused to pay the court-ordered amount for damages, which was ruled in his favor.

Weidenmüller has asked the court to help him collect the money by placing Minaj's 11-bedroom home in Hidden Hills, up for sale. The documents show that the house is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption, totaling just over $ 14 million.

Weidenmüller's legal team claims in the court documents that the sale of the rapper's home would yield more than enough with interest, as the property's current market value is approximately $20 million.

The court documents were obtained by Page Six, which also reports that they state Minaj is the highest-paid female rap star in the world, a global music superstar, and is estimated to have a net worth of anywhere between $150 million and $190 million.

Petty is a registered sex offender and is now facing the assault lawsuit filed against him; hence, he is not new to legal battles. Weidenmüller, who worked as a security guard and was the head of security for that fateful evening at  Minaj's 2019 concert in Germany, claims that Petty sucker punched him in the jaw.

The incident occurred after the pop star reprimanded a female security guard for allowing a male fan to get on stage during her performance, allegedly calling the guard  "a f-cking b-tch."

In an effort to settle the dispute, as head of security, he stepped in, consoled the crying guard, and attempted to speak with the "Anaconda" singer, who he claims also yelled and threw a shoe at him.

He further claims that she verbally lambasted him in her room before Petty jumped him out of the blue and punched him in the jaw. The effect of the punch broke his jaw, and he allegedly had to undergo eight surgeries, which involved inserting five plates into his face.

The Rapper Reportedly Refused To Pay For The Settlement

Under a default judgment in March, Weidenmüller was awarded $503,318 in damages; this figure continues to increase following their failure to make payment.

The Blast reports show that Weidenmüller claims in his court documents that no payments have been received regarding the assault settlement, which he was awarded, and since then, it has amassed an interest of over $20,000.

The refusal of the power couple to pay the initial amount seems to be doing them more harm than good, as they may end up paying more than they bargained for.

Due to the rapper's status, there is little doubt that she is capable of paying the judgment in full; however, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests for payment and levies served upon several of her suspected creditors.

Earlier this year, Minaj was slammed with a civil lawsuit submitted by her former manager, Brandon Garrett, for allegedly getting physically violent with him during one of her tour stops in the United States.

Though Minaj was not arrested due to a lack of sufficient evidence to prove she actually committed the crime, Garrett remained adamant that his allegations were factual. Reports from The Blast show that he claims she became aggressive with him after performing on the Detroit leg of her "Gag City" tour in April 2024.

Garrett claimed that the rapper got violent with him after she discovered that he had sent someone else to get her prescriptions. Her violence did not stop at words, as he stated that she hit him on the right side of his face with an open hand before her security team barged in on him. The former manager also claims that Minaj's team had left him stranded in Detroit.

In the first quarter of the year, the pop star shared a message on her Instagram stories about people feeling entitled and wanting to receive money they did not earn.

The rapper wrote in her first post, "Most people don't want to earn money. They want to be given the money that you've had to earn," and in the second post, explained to her followers how entitled people behave.

Fans reacted on both sides to the reposted stories, with some agreeing with her while others called her out, suggesting that she was indirectly speaking to her sister, with whom she has a strained relationship.
