Fans Heave A Sigh Of Relief

Wendy Osefo’s anniversary arrived just before “The Real Housewives of Potomac (RHOP)” season 10 trailer was released on August 28. In the trailer, she was seen in tears, confiding in a castmate, saying, “he doesn’t love me anymore.”

Fraud Charges Against The Osefos

Recently, Wendy Osefo and her husband were indicted by a Carroll County grand jury on multiple fraud-related charges stemming from an allegedly staged home burglary they reported in April 2024.

The couple claimed that over $450,000 worth of items were stolen, exceeding their insurance policy’s $423,000 limit. They reportedly filed an insurance claim for the full amount.

However, investigators found that many of the “stolen” items were purchased shortly before the reported burglary and then returned to retailers for full refunds before the incident. They also uncovered photos of Wendy Osefo wearing jewelry she claimed was stolen after the incident.

Authorities allege that financial strain may have been a motive. A search and arrest warrant was issued after the grand jury reviewed the evidence, leading to their quick apprehension.

The Osefos’ Response

The Osefos were reportedly arrested on October 9 and released the next day after posting $50,000 bond each. A spokesperson for the couple stated,

“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

Neither has publicly commented further.
