The New York Giants got a win on Thursday night against the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. But during the contest, Giants' quarterback Jaxson Dart sent a wave of concern amongst the stadium when he went down late in the third quarter with what many believed was a concussion. Dart's head coach, Brian Daboll, was visibly worried as cameras showed him having what appeared to be a spirited discussion with the team's head physician, Dr. Scott A. Rodeo. However, Daboll's reaction had some higher-ups at the NFL raising their eyebrows, prompting the league to begin an investigation in conjunction with the NFL Players Association.

According to ESPN, the league is now investigating the New York Giants after the team cleared Dart to return to the game after he was hit in the head during a play in the third quarter.
Dart was taken to the blue tent on the sideline, and the Thursday Night Football stream captured head coach Daboll going over to the tent and yelling at Dr. Rodeo. Shortly after that interaction, Dart left the medical tent and returned to lead his team to a 34-17 victory.
Daboll seemed to anticipate his behavior would spark conversation, as he apologized for his actions after the game, citing the "emotions" that occur during a football game.
"And I certainly am an emotional guy. I apologized directly to our team physician. I just wanted his ass out there if he was OK. But I wanted the process," he said.
Daboll Said He Needed To Know What Was Going On With Jaxson Dart

Daboll explained that he went to the tent to determine what play to call.
"I would have burned a timeout if he could’ve come out there. I was asking, ‘How long is it gonna take?’ So, again, you want your guy out there, not at risk of anything else. But, you know, he came out. ‘I think he’s gonna be good.’ I’m like, ‘Is he gonna be good or not? I’m gonna call a timeout on fourth down and go for this son of a b-tch.’ You know what I mean? So, I love our doctors...I apologize. I was in the wrong," he said.
Jaxson Dart Recalls Being In The Medical Tent

Dart also spoke with the media after the game and described his time with the medical team as "so long." The Ole Miss graduate went on to say that several individuals "popped in" to the medical tent to check on him; however, his only concern was returning to the field.
"I was just trying to get back there on the field. I understand they have protocol and whatnot. I was just trying to get out there fast," he said, per ESPN.
Even his running back, rookie Cam Skattebo, joked about entering the medical tent to help keep his quarterback calm.
"When I was in there, he was a little fired up, but we know we have to go through protocol and do all that stuff to make sure we can get back on the field. I went in there and kind of, 'We're good, man, we've got you,' and that's it," he said.
Jonathan Gannon Fined Over On-Field Conduct

Daboll isn't the only NFL coach who had a chaotic past week. Arizona Cardinals' head coach, Jonathan Gannon, was the subject of controversy after a horrifying video of him physically assaulting a player went viral online.
The gut-wrenching moment occurred shortly after running back Emari Demercado dropped the football just before reaching the goal line, costing his team a crucial score that would've won them the game.
When Gannon made contact with Demercado on the sideline, footage shows the 42-year-old hitting his player in the chest not once, but twice.
The Cardinals' team owner fined Gannon $100,000, according to the NFL.

Gannon addressed the viral video on Monday, October 6, revealing that he had apologized to Demercado and his team for losing control in the heat of the moment.
"I woke up this morning and didn't feel great about it, honestly," he said. "So in the team meeting I addressed it, I apologized to Emari, apologized to the team. I just told them I let the moment of what happened get the better of me."
