Nicole Kidman may have given an early clue about her separation from Keith Urban during an interview that took place weeks before the news of the split shocked fans.

At the time, the actress sat down with Vogue and was asked how she felt about herself now that she was in her fifties, which prompted the response that seemingly foreshadowed the breakup.

Since the split, Nicole Kidman has been spotted publicly on several occasions, including a recent appearance with her daughters at a fashion show.

Few saw Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's breakup coming, yet a recent interview suggests the actress may have subtly foreshadowed the split before officially filing for divorce.

In August, the actress sat down with journalist Wendell Steavenson for Vogue, although the interview was only recently published.

Steavenson revealed that she had sensed Kidman was already separated from Urban but chose not to press the actress on such a personal matter.

The journalist also noted that Kidman gave an unexpected response when asked how she felt now that she is in her fifties.

She had anticipated a thoughtful remark about the "sagacity of age," but instead, Kidman's reply struck her as "wry, rueful, and unsure of herself."

"How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn't going in that direction," Kidman had replied at the time.

During the interview, the actress also revealed how she relies on a close circle of girlfriends for support through life's ups and downs.

She named her "Big Little Lies" co-star, Reese Witherspoon, as one of those within this circle, along with a senior oncologist at Vanderbilt Hospital, whose identity was not revealed in the interview.

Kidman described these individuals as her "ride-or-die friendships," which highlighted just how important they are in her life.

Now, with her divorce from Urban underway, it's likely that the actress is leaning on them as she navigates this difficult chapter.

In addition, the Babygirl star reportedly has the support of her family, including her sister Antonia, who was described as a "rock" for her during this time.

Having friends and family to lean on appears to be helping, as reports earlier this month indicated that the actress is now at peace with the split after initially feeling stressed and dreading it becoming public.

"She's surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it's out, she's just focused on what's ahead and her girls," a source told People on October 2.

On October 7, another source revealed that Kidman has already returned to work, a move that further confirmed she is truly taking her split in stride.

"She's had a good attitude about everything, and life goes on. She was in Texas this weekend and is happy to be back at work," the insider revealed at the time.

Just one day after filing for divorce, Kidman was spotted hiking in Nashville with her younger sister, Antonia.

The duo walked a trail not far from the $4 million mansion Kidman shares with Urban and appeared to be deep in conversation throughout the outing.

Her next public appearance occurred on October 4, when the actress attended amfAR's Dallas auction in Texas.

At the event, she took to the stage to present her "Lioness" collaborator and "dear friend" Taylor Sheridan with the night's Award of Inspiration.

Nicole Kidman Turned Heads At A Paris Fashion Week Show Alongside Her Daughters

Two days after the amfAR Dallas auction in Texas, Kidman traveled to Paris for Fashion Week, where she was spotted at the Chanel runway show.

This time, the Oscar winner was accompanied by her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, whom she shares with Urban from their nearly two-decade-long marriage.

She later took to social media to share photos of herself from the event, including a caption thanking the fashion giant for hosting her and her daughters.
