The singer/actress recently reflected on her 14-year marriage to actor Eddie Cibrian and how they maintain their dynamic amid their busy schedules. Their romance has faced its fair share of ups and downs, including infidelity allegations.

LeAnn Rimes tied the knot to Eddie Cibrian in 2011, two years after separating from her first husband, Dean Sheremet. Her longtime partner was also a divorcee, previously tied to former Bravolebrity Brandi Glanville.

Rimes addressed her thriving 14-year marriage to Cibrian in a new interview, confessing that she was in awe whenever she reflected on their love story. She was proud of how much they endured and overcame as a team, noting they were in the best phase of their romance.

"The place we're in now is just so comfortable and calm and quiet. We really find our quiet together. That's really important," Rimes explained. She noted that simplicity was the key to their happiness, claiming they found joy in doing simple things together.

"We're very normal. That normalcy is what allowed us to have this relationship in this crazy business. Our relationship is better than it's ever been," Rimes declared in her Us Weekly cover story. She added that she frequently experienced "very major moments of gratitude" thanks to her blossoming union.

Besides "normalcy" helping her marriage to thrive, Rimes noted that "having an actual dialogue with each other has been super helpful" to their relationship. She credited Cibrian for making things easier by being a supportive partner and having a sense of humor.

Rimes raved about Cibrian's supportive side, noting that he accompanied her on her road trips to support her career. He also joined her on the set of her new ABC series "9-1-1: Nashville," with the doting wife highlighting his valuable input to her acting, saying:

"I love just having his eyes. He's really creative. He's there to see things that I might not think about sometimes and be a sounding board."

Rimes and Cibrian first met on the set of "Northern Lights" in November 2008 while they were still married to their respective partners. They reportedly grew closer, sparking rumors of them cheating on their spouses.

In March 2009, Cibrian vehemently denied the allegations and accused the media of fabricating the affair story. Rimes' friend echoed similar sentiments to PEOPLE, claiming there were feelings between Cibrian and Rimes, but they had never acted on them.

The affair rumors continued in July 2009 when Cibrian and Rimes separated from their respective spouses. A month later, they were seen on a golf date at the Valencia Country Club. Sources claimed they flirted with each other during the outing.

A year after ending their respective marriages and getting together, Rimes confirmed that her relationship with Cibrian started as an affair. In a June 2010 interview, the singer confessed that she did "one of the most selfish things" she could ever do.

Rimes noted that she had hurt someone else, referencing her affair with Cibrian, and took full responsibility for her actions. Although she regretted how their romance started, she stressed that she did not regret the outcome of her selfish choices.

"It was very emotionally driven. I never once thought what I was doing was okay," Rimes admitted. A month later, Cibrian moved into her Los Angeles home, and he popped the big question in December 2010. The couple eventually said their vows in an intimate ceremony on April 22, 2011.

Months earlier, Rimes got candid about an embarrassing dental mishap that occurred on stage. The Blast covered the story in July, reporting that she opened up to fans about how she nearly cancelled her final performance due to dental issues.

Rimes recalled feeling something pop in her mouth during her performance and soon realized that the bridge in the front of her teeth had come loose. She attempted to push the teeth back into place but repeatedly failed, forcing her to consider canceling the show.

Fortunately, Rimes was able to complete the show after sorting out her dental issues. She previously revealed that her teeth problems began after a dentist failed to redo her veneers properly, leading to a years-long battle with pain, swelling, and more dental problems.
