Alec & Hilaria Baldwin Announce 'Sad' Family Loss Amid 'DWTS' Demands

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin bid farewell to their family pet with a fitting tribute!

The couple took the time to update their social media fans about the recent loss of a furry family member, months after they received criticism about the hygiene of their pets on their reality show.

Hilaria Baldwin is currently going for gold on "Dancing with the Stars," thanks to the unwavering support for her husband, Alec Baldwin, who recently made a cameo on the dance show.

"Rest in peace, sweet Dama. You brought so much joy to our lives. You were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly. Your life was long and happy," Hilaria wrote in the caption of the joint post announcing the passing of their family pet.

The reality star expressed how grateful the family was for the time spent with their pet, sharing hope that the animal is finally resting in peace and "running through the fields" of heaven. 

The heartwarming tribute ended with, "We are sad but grateful that we had you in our lives." Hilaria's post showcased several slides of the couple cuddling and spending time with their family dog over the years, a testament to their beautiful times together.

The post was received by over 200k Instagram users, who left thousands of comments, sending warmth, love, and hugs to the family in their time of loss.

There is no doubt that Hilaria and Alec adore their dogs. Still, the couple, especially the family patriarch, was frustrated a few months ago after the pets ruined his expensive rug.

The Sun shared that a fan on Reddit compiled clips of the director complaining about the dog's toilet habits on their family reality TV show on TLC, "The Baldwins."

Alec, in one of the confessional, alongside his son, revealed that the dogs take pleasure in pooping and peeing all over the house. The camera reportedly zoomed in on the stains all over the rug as Alec stressed that the family may be forced to replace most of their upholstery.

Hilaria also buttressed her husband's points, claiming that the dogs have "completely marked their territory all over the rug that Alec really likes." The couple even got into a fight after Hilaria claimed the animals were well-trained, and Alec disputed that fact.

The yoga instructor's appearance on the dance show drew a measured amount of criticism from dance pro Julianne Hough, who referenced her ties to the industry as an extra boost for her inclusion on the show. 

Hilaria clarified that her selection for the latest season followed due process, with the producers notifying her just days before the cast list was made public. As reported by The Blast, the 41-year-old stated that she accepted the offer and had to relocate to Los Angeles with her family to prepare for the season.

She, however, did not deny how pivotal her husband was in helping her achieve her dream of dancing on a show, as evident in the viral TikTok video of both of them busting a move, which Hough referred to.

Hilaria is currently partnered with pro dancer Gleb Savchenko, who appeared alongside Brooks Nader on season 33.

While Hilaria expressed her excitement about being paired alongside Savchenko for the season and being a primary recipient of his experience, she confessed that there are a few downsides to the adventure.

"And it's uncomfortable and embarrassing sometimes. I keep on reminding myself: I didn't sign up for this to be comfortable. I signed up for this to do hard things and to be brave," Hilaria noted.

She added that some of the routines and moves she has tried to master during rehearsals were much easier to perfect while she was younger and twice the fun. The reality star stressed that after having kids, getting old, and grabbing some injuries along the way, the memories of excitement become blurry.

Nevertheless, Hilaria praised Savchenko for helping her master new dance steps independently and helping her focus on the quality and authenticity of her routines.

The father of eight took his will to encourage his partner up a notch when he surprised her by showing up during rehearsals and on premiere night. The Blast reported that the cameras caught a glimpse of the actor cheering on his wife in the audience, but fans became more skeptical.

The clip soon went viral, leaving some fans confused about why Alec chose a poker face throughout the show. While some commenters blamed it on his "strange aura," others noted that he did not look so pleased to see his wife dancing.

Hilaria and Gleb raised the roof with an electric Cha Cha performance to Jennifer Lopez's hit song "Let's Get Loud" in a green shimmery number, matching with her partner, who paired his green shirt with black pants.
