Halsey, Mariah Carey & More Celebrities React To Britney Spears' Court Hearing

It’s been a groundbreaking day for Britney Spearsand her fandom.

Britney appeared in a Los Angeles County courtroom today, virtually, and revealed to the world how she’s being treated in her conservatorship.

The heartbreaking and eye-opening revelations include Britney not being able to get married and have a baby, having her life taken away and being forced to take lithium against her will.

She told the judge, “I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. There are thousands of abusive conservatorships.” Britney made it clear she wants out of the conservatorship and that she wants her life back!

She claims her family and attorney have been lying to her for years, and has asked for new legal representation.

Britney also said, “I want to end the conservatorship without being evaluated. I want to petition to end the conservatorship.”

Brit’s legions of fans gathered outside of the courthouse to assemble the #FreeBritney movement. They’re showing their support for the singer and are protesting her conservatorship.

Multiple celebrities have also spoken up and expressed their horror, disgust and support for Britney.

Halsey took to Twitter and wrote, “Bless Britney and I hope with my whole heart she is awarded freedom from this abusive system. She deserves it more than anything. I admire her courage speaking up for herself today.”

She continued, “Additionally, f*** anyone who thinks they have the authority as an institution or individual to control a person’s reproductive health. #FreeBritney

Mariah Carey tweeted, “We love you Britney!!! Stay Strong.”

Singer Brandy sent her well wishes to Brit tweeting out, “Sending all my love and support to Britney Spears and her fans.”

Tinashe said, “We love you SO MUCH @britneyspears.”

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi demanded Britney be freed writing “F***ING FREE BRITNEY We are all here for you queen!”

Britney has been under the control of her father, Jamie Spears, and this conservatorship for 13 years.

During her 20-minute statement to the judge she said, “I haven’t been back to court in a long time, because I don’t think I was heard on any level. When I came to court the last time I brought four sheets of paper in my hands and wrote what I had been through the last four months before I came there. The people who did that to me should not be able to walk away so easily. I’ll recap.”

She claimed in that 2018 she was forced to do her tour. Her management team said if she didn’t do the tour she would have to find an attorney and that they could sue her if she didn’t follow through with the tour.

She was not allowed to leave her house for a month and she claims her father loved every minute of it.

“Not only did my family not do a goddamn thing, my dad was all for it. Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad. And my dad acted like he didn’t know that I was told I had to be tested over the Christmas holidays before they sent me away, when my kids went to home to Louisiana. He was the one who approved all of it. My whole family did nothing,” the ‘Toxic’ singer told the court.

While Britney has asked to terminate the conservatorship and get out of it, a resolution has yet to be reached or announced.
