Meghan King Denies Restraining Order Claims To Cops Amid Ex's Drama

The bodycam footage of Meghan King's viral run-in with authorities at her ex-husband Jim Edmonds' home has been unveiled.

The drama occurred in May when Kortnie Edmonds, Jim Edmonds' current wife, accused the media personality of forcing her way into their home. Their explosive encounter sparked a visit from officers of the Frontenac Police Department.

Meghan King was married to Jim Edmonds from October 2014 to October 2019. The former MLB star filed to end their marriage after five years, and they settled their divorce in May 2021. The exes share three children: adaughter, Aspen, and twins, Hart and Hayes.

The bodycam footage of the May incident captured King's conversation with an officer from the Frontenac Police Department. She tried leaving the scene and appeared to be heading to her car when the officer warned her to stop or get cuffed.

"There is nota restraining order," King yelled at the officer, who stressed that he needed to verify that information before she could leave. He gave her another warning to stop or he would be forced to detain her and advised her to calm down.

The officer told King to talk to them, leading to an emotional outburst. She claimed her ex-husband was "incredibly emotionally abusive," alleging Jim used his name and wealth to push her around. King, per the bodycam footage obtained by US Weekly, was adamant that she did nothing wrong.

King claimed she visited her ex-husband's home because he asked her to drop off a dress for their daughter, Aspen. She implied the situation was blown out of proportion by Jim's wife, Kortnie, and alleged she would soon have sole custody of her kids.

The former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star noted she would gain full custody of her three children once Jim moved to Nashville. However, a rep for the Gold Glove Award honoree refuted King's claims, claiming it was yet another lie from her deceitful lips.

"Her and Jim barely communicate, so if someone is emotionally abusing her, it's not Jim," the rep argued. They noted Jim took his fatherly duties seriously, labeling him "an active and present father to all his children" while King allegedly refused to coparent amicably.

Sources close to King claimed Kortnie had blown a simple interaction out of proportion by involving the police. They alleged that Jim's wife had been "visibly upset" to see the media personality at her door and behaved rudely.

Sources noted Kortnie told King to leave Aspen's dress and get out, claiming she called the cops when the entertainer said she needed to talk to her daughter. Although sources stated that King was shocked by the way the interaction played out, she was unsurprised by Kortnie's tendency to seek drama.
