White House Slams 'The View' Co-Hosts For Siding With Jimmy Kimmel Amid Suspension: 'Devoid Of Actual Talent'

The White House has attacked “The View” co-hosts for supporting Jimmy Kimmel amid the drama with ABC, labeling them as talentless.
“The View” stars recently addressed Kimmel’s shocking suspension from the network, saying that the act was an attack on the First Amendment.
Kimmel was suspended following his controversial monologue about Charlie Kirk’s death; however, his show has now been reinstated and is expected to return to the airwaves on Tuesday.
The White House Thinks ‘The View’ Hosts Are Talentless

The communications director for the White House, Steven Cheung, was asked to comment on the drama surrounding ABC pulling Kimmel’s show.
Not holding back, Cheung told Entertainment Weekly that Kimmel is a “no-talent loser” who spews "disgusting lies to his viewers,” which is why the network cut him off like a “used empty beer can.”
He also extended his verbal attack to “The View” co-hosts, saying that they, just like Kimmel, also lack real talent.
“Similarly, The View is also devoid of actual talent and is a collection of irrelevant has-beens and never-beens that nobody with any commonsense [sic] would ever watch unless it was to laugh at them,” Cheung said.

Cheung’s comments come after Whoopi Goldberg, alongside Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, aired their honest thoughts about Kimmel’s suspension.
During the show, Goldberg told the audience that they had initially stalled on speaking about Kimmel’s suspension because they were waiting to see if he would address it first.
However, after some time had passed, she and her co-hosts decided to speak up, just like they did when it came to Stephen Colbert.
“Y'all really think we were not gonna talk about Jimmy Kimmel? I mean, have you watched the show over the last 29 seasons? You know, no one silences us," Goldberg said, per The Blast.
The 69-year-old actress criticized President Donald Trump for trampling on the First Amendment. She also stressed that it’s not in the government's place to pressure a network to kick someone off the air.
Likewise, Goldberg’s co-host, Navarro, noted that instead of the government upholding the First Amendment, they were using it as a witch-hunting tool to “scare people into silence” and “self-censorship.”
Navarro likened the situation to living under a dictatorship in Nicaragua, where the press was constantly silenced by people in places of authority.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Suspension Reportedly Spread Panic Through ‘The View’ Staffers

Before “The View” co-hosts made their remarks on the Kimmel situation, there were reports that the suspension had caused chaos among them.
According to The Blast, insiders revealed that the show’s hosts were unsure of how to handle the controversial situation for fear of further censorship.
An insider close to the situation also confirmed that there was “definitely a difficult dynamic going on” at the time, as staffers were worried about the safety of their jobs.
Jimmy Kimmel Is Now Set To Return To Airwaves Following ABC Suspension

Fortunately for “The View” staffers, their panic did not last long as “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has been reinstated following its brief suspension.
As confirmed by The Blast, ABC released a statement shedding light on the suspension and noting that the network decided to pull the comedian’s show off the air because his comments were “ill-timed.” The statement read:
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive."
ABC further noted that its representatives spent a couple of days having “thoughtful conversations” with Kimmel before deciding to let the show return.
The Jimmy Kimmel Monologue That Led To His Suspension

Kimmel’s suspension came after he spoke about Kirk’s tragic murder during his monologue on September 16.
The 57-year-old TV host joked that the “MAGA gang” was attempting to distance itself from being identified with the suspect who murdered Kirk.
“We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it,” he said.
Kimmel also threw some shots at the manner in which President Donald Trump mourned Kirk, who was his close friend. He noted that, considering the close relationship the president had with the late activist, his reaction to his death should’ve been more empathetic.
