Dua Lipa In String Bikini Warned Photos 'Will Embarrass Her In Ten Years'

Dua Lipa received a harsh warning as bikini-clad photos of her on Malibu Beach went viral during the early wave of the pandemic. In August 2020, the 30-year-old was spotted strolling across golden sands with then-boyfriend Anwar Hadid, and for many, she'd made a fashion faux pas. Showing off her incredible figure in a plunging string bikini and shorts, Dua displayed her curves as she topped up her tan, quickly attracting comments as she kept her outfit sporty. While many trashed the singer for her choice of shorts, one fan went as far as telling her she'd be "embarrassed" by the photos in a decade.

Soaking up the California sunshine as she walked around with Anwar, Dua added black board shorts that grazed her knees. The Grammy winner added hoop earrings as she wore her hair slicked into a bun, with some photos also showing her holding a dog leash.

Dua's photos were shared on Just Jared's Instagram alongside The Daily Mail. On the latter outlet, users trolled Dua Lipa, with many body-shaming her and likening her to a "man." Others picked Dua apart for her look. "I think those are the most unflattering shorts I've ever seen," the top comment reads. Over 1,000 fans liked it.

Replying to the comment, and gaining over 40 upvotes, another user said: "Too busy trying to keep up with or start a new trend to notice that they look horrible on her. These photos will embarrass her in 10 years."

Noting the number of shaming remarks, a further user defended Dua Lipa. Backing the Versace ambassador up, they wrote: "Lucky for all you critical nasties out there, she's spoken for. And she's young, rich, successful, and looks like she's having the time of her life. Good on her."

Dua has made major swimwear headlines since. In July and August, she posted a slew of swimsuit snaps on her Instagram, with most marking her Spain and Italy travels. For the latter, she spent time with fiancé Callum Turner.
