"Harry Potter" actress Jessie Cave revealed she was dropped from a fan convention over her OnlyFans account, despite stressing her page focuses on niche hair content, not nudity.
The actress, married to comedian Alfie Brown, said she joined the platform to fund her writing and home repairs, describing it as empowering after years of "prim" roles.
However, Jessie Cave admitted the venture has been draining, with falling subscriber numbers, unwanted explicit requests, and disappointing results.
'Harry Potter' Actress Claims Convention Rejected Her For Having An OnlyFans Account

Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the popular wizarding franchise, recently revealed in a Substack post that she was turned away from a fan convention due to her activity on OnlyFans.
"I found out that I didn't get booked for a 'Harry Potter' convention recently, as I'm now doing OnlyFans," the 38-year-old shared. "They explained it was because it's a 'family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn.' This was baffling to me, as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they've done sex scenes and nudity. I'm just playing with my hair!"
Cave clarified that her content on the platform caters to a hair fetish audience, not explicit material. She also admitted she wasn't too concerned about missing out.
"I am not upset about the prospect of no more 'Harry Potter' conventions," she wrote. "There's going to be a new cast now, and it's a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia."
Jessie Cave Started OnlyFans For 'Niche Hair Content'

Cave revealed her shift into the world of OnlyFans in March, describing her page as a space dedicated to celebrating her famously long, thick blonde hair.
Introducing herself on the platform, she wrote: "Former Harry Potter actress, writer, doodler, and now OnlyFans Long Hair Specialist."
She emphasized that the account is strictly for niche hair-related content rather than adult material: "I do NICHE HAIR CONTENT, which you may well quite like. How magical! Owl drop near daily. Wizard warning: Will not do explicit sexual content. Might be in my underwear."
The actress added: "Will respond to Dm's (sic). Let's get to know each other! If you have a hair thing, this is the place for you."
Cave later explained on Instagram that joining OnlyFans was also a practical decision, a way to support her writing projects financially.
"I do get lots of interest in the hair thing, and I just thought, f-ck it, I'm gonna do something that is very niche," she said. "I know it's niche, but it's been really cool to do. It's been quite liberating."
Jessie Cave Calls OnlyFans Journey 'Empowering'

Reflecting on her career, Cave admitted that taking this step felt like a sharp departure from the roles she's usually offered.
"I really am choosing to think of this as an empowering moment for me, because I have been this very kind of straight, prim actress for a lot of my career," she said.
The actress continued, "And this is very much a way of me saying, 'OK, I'm doing something that is not normal. This is weird and me and a bit kinky, and why not?"

On her Substack, Cave went deeper into her reasons for joining the platform, framing it as both a financial and personal experiment.
"One year. I'll try for one year," Cave wrote. "My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof, etc. My aim? To get out of debt."
The actress added, "My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I'm not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love."
Jessie Cave Says Running OnlyFans Has Become 'Draining' Amid Subscriber Drop And Unwanted Demands

Back in June, Cave admitted that running her OnlyFans page had become more draining than she expected, as she struggled to keep subscriber numbers from dropping.
Although she has always been clear that her page won't feature nudity or explicit sex, Cave said many users ignore her boundaries, leading to uncomfortable encounters.
"It's gotten a little nasty. I feel a little gross, a little scared," she said in a Substack post, per the Daily Mail. "I am receiving too many lurid messages and don't like being sent unsolicited d-cks. No matter how many times I say I am not doing sexual content, I get a message within two seconds asking to see c-m in my hair or if I would just please f-cking consider full-frontal."
The 38-year-old confessed that she's become fixated on follower counts and has occasionally wondered if sticking to "tame" hair content is sustainable.
In one attempt to shake things up, she poured two bottles of strawberry milk over her head for what she called her first "Wet Hair Wednesday" without using water.
"I poured two bottles of Yazoo strawberry milk over my head and got brain freeze," Cave said. "I was really pleased with the video, as the green strappy dress I was wearing looked great contrasted with the pink milk, but was disappointed by the number of people who bought it."
