Mariah The Scientist’s latest Instagram post needed no caption, because her look in the black see-through dress was already a statement. The singer stood tall in her outfit for the “Laquan Smith Fashion Show,” looking elegant and sensual. Fans were stunned, fellow celebrities were stupefied, Mariah the Scientist was the moment, and everyone stamped it. “This is her revenge dress,” a fan wrote, referring to the recent drama with her long-term partner, Young Thug.

Mariah the Scientist’s stunning black dress was “so beautiful.” Rocking platinum blonde hair, she posed in a black see-through dress, wearing nothing but black high-waisted thongs underneath.

The dress, designed with vertical sheer stripes, hugged her figure from neckline to floor, elongating her silhouette while revealing just enough to keep the look daring. Its plunging neckline was framed with a wide black trim barely covering her bust.

A sparkling cross pendant drew even more attention to her décolletage. SZA described her as “perfect.” Brooklyn Nikole was too stunned to say anything besides “wow.” Fans crowned the singer a “beautiful queen.”

Mariah the Scientist and rapper Young Thug have been one of hip-hop’s most talked-about couples since they went public in 2021. By 2022, Thug was arrested on gang and racketeering charges. During this time, Mariah became his largest supporter, advocating for his release with “Free Thug” chants in shows.

She also predicted Thug would propose once free in a 2023 “Baller Alert” interview. He was eventually released in October 2024.

Fast-forward to September 2025, when leaked jail calls surfaced, exposing Thug’s infidelity right before he was arrested. This broke the internet.

Fans are divided on whether or not they’re still together. Some argued that she’ll go back to him; others saw her new blonde look as a sign of change. Generally, however, fans were supportive. “The fact that Young Thug was tryna cheat on this proves that he’s gay,” a fan declared.

In response, GloRilla dropped a diss track targeting both Thug and Mariah. She dragged Mariah into it for being complicit, throwing shade at her tolerance for Thug’s cheating. She later said it was “all fun and games” with “no hard feelings.”

Before the leaked calls, Mariah The Scientist had just released her latest studio album, “Hearts Sold Separately.” At first, the comments brimmed with excitement. But once fans heard Thug’s remarks about GloRilla, they turned on Mariah for not speaking up.

Mariah the Scientist is not a scientist. However, she was studying biology at St. John’s University before dropping out to pursue music full-time.
