Meagan Good And Jonathan Majors Reveal Secret Nuptials And Plans To Start A Family

Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors are the latest newlyweds! Months after tying the knot, the couple is finally opening up about their secret nuptials and what building a family means to them.

Their union comes after the “Creed III” actor endured a harassment trial with his ex, Grace Jabbari, while the “Harlem” alum stood firmly by his side. 

Meanwhile, Good’s ex-husband, DeVon Franklin, has also moved on, recently marrying Maria Castillo about a month ago.

The couple appeared on the “Tamron Hall Show” alongside Majors’ mother, Anderson-Watson, who not only stood by them as family but also officiated their wedding. 

For the first time, they shared glimpses of their secret ceremony. The wedding images revealed Good glowing in a cream lace gown with spaghetti straps and a short netted white veil, while Majors kept it simple yet elegant in a buttoned shirt paired with cream trousers.

When asked about her role in the ceremony, Majors’ mother reflected on the unusual responsibilities she carried.

“It was a strange place to be in,” she admitted, explaining how she had to balance being their therapist, mother, and officiating pastor. She emphasized that she carried out all three roles diligently, ensuring no part suffered because the marriage had to be real and lasting.

Throughout the show, the couple held hands, a clear reflection of their bond and unity. They confirmed their plans to have children, with Majors speaking sincerely about his commitment to honesty and openness with his daughter.

“I thank God for my past, because that made me the father I am today,” he said, highlighting how his experiences shaped his approach to fatherhood while envisioning a blended family with his 12-year-old daughter.

Good also added her perspective, underscoring the closeness of their family ties. “If it’s right, then it’s right, we are all gonna come together,” she affirmed, describing their household as “a vibe!”

Majors and Good's romance dates back to May 2023, following Good’s split from her ex-husband in December 2021. A little over a year after debuting their romance, the pair got engaged in November 2024.

The timing of their relationship, however, raised eyebrows as it came in the thick of Majors's assault trial in New York in 2023, where he was accused of physically assaulting his ex, Jabbari.

Good stood firmly by his side throughout the ordeal, which was a defining moment for their bond. Majors’ mother recalled her confidence in the couple’s readiness for marriage in this moment, 

“[I] Knew they were ready from the moment I met Megan,” she said, praising Good’s unwavering support during her son’s most difficult times.

For months, their relationship was plagued by speculation of a PR stunt. However, their engagement was revealed in a special way, confirming them as the real deal.

As reported by The Blast, the couple announced their engagement at the “Ebony 100 Gala” in Los Angeles. Good confidently declared they were “in love” and called Majors “the one,” while proudly flashing her diamond ring.

Fans quickly flooded social media with congratulatory messages. One fan wrote, “Cheers to the happy couple! May your engagement be the start of a beautiful journey.”

While her relationship with Majors continues to flourish, Good has also spoken candidly about her past with Franklin, whom she was married to for nine years.

As reported by The Blast, she admitted that after their divorce in 2022, she went through moments of questioning God. 

“I’m a very optimistic person…I really do trust God, even when … I don’t understand… I have to lean into the fact that God knows what it [is] and what it’s supposed to be, and God’s going to take care of everything.” She revealed. 

She added that even when things didn’t make sense, she leaned into gratitude. Looking back now, she says she is more thankful for the experience and what it taught her.

As Good moves forward with Majors, Franklin has also found love again. He recently tied the knot with celebrity trainer Maria Castillo in a lakeside ceremony described as “deeply spiritual.”

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Franklin, a preacher, and Castillo carefully designed their ceremony to reflect their values and love, 

“The vision was to create an experience that felt deeply meaningful and reflective of who we are, not just as individuals, but as a couple.”

Their wedding, filled with detail and intentionality, marked Franklin’s fresh start alongside his new wife.
