Drake and Bobbi Althoff are finally clearing the air on what went wrong two years after they ended their friendship.
The Canadian rapper was featured on an episode of the American podcaster’s show in 2023. The episode went viral on the internet, but was deleted shortly after, suggesting that something had gone horribly wrong with their friendship.
Now, the two friends are laying it all out on the table, airing their feelings on what caused the fallout and narrating the events that led up to it.
Bobbi Althoff Sent Drake A Scathing Text Message Before He Blocked Her On Social Media

On September 2, Althoff released a video on YouTube captioned, “DRAKE: "I'm Sorry" | NOT THIS AGAIN.”
In the video, the 28-year-old podcaster sat down to have an insightful conversation with Drake, just like she did in 2023. However, this time, they traced their steps to what went wrong during their fallout.
Before the fallout, Althoff and Drake had a little back and forth over text, after which the rapper asked her to come to his show in L.A.
Although she went to the show, Althoff still felt like Drake was mad at her. As such, she sent a scathing message to him while he was still on stage, basically telling him, “f-ck you.” She received a long reply from him shortly after and then soon found out he had blocked her on all platforms.
“And then within 20 minutes I’m blocked on text, Instagram, everywhere,” the influencer recalled.
When Drake argued that her initial text message wasn’t “nice,” Althoff concurred, saying, “It wasn’t. And I’m not disagreeing with that… And then that was the end of our friendship.”
Drake Felt Blamed For Althoff’s Struggles
On his part, Drake said that Althoff made him feel like their interview from 2023 was the reason her life was “bad.” Therefore, he decided to get rid of the interview so she doesn’t “ever have to see it ever again.”
The podcaster responded, saying that now she understands why the musician may have felt that way all those years ago. However, she insisted that she didn’t mean it to sound the way it did:
“That’s not how I meant it, I was just mad at you cause I was going through stuff and I felt like the one day we got to know each other, I was like, ‘oh I could see myself being friends with this person,’ and I didn’t feel like you were being a good friend with what was happening in my life at that moment.”
The podcaster admitted that she got “mad” at Drake “one time” and blamed him for her struggles when she probably shouldn’t have.
Bobbi Althoff And Drake’s First Viral Interview Sparked Beef Rumors After It Was Deleted From The Internet

Althoff’s interview with Drake aired on July 20, 2023, and one month after garnering millions of views and engagements, it disappeared without a trace. Fans were also quick to notice that the duo had also unfollowed each other on social media.
A day before the interview was deleted, Althoff shared a video of herself at a Drake concert, looking unimpressed with his performance.
The series of incidents sparked rumors that the two were indeed at war with each other. As reported by The Blast, one fan called Althoff an “industry plant,” and another slammed her for “fumbling” her friendship with Drake by acting “bored and uncomfortable” at his concert.
“That’s why he unfollowed you, [it’s] disrespectful,” the fan wrote.

The beef rumors stretched into 2024 and were further fueled when the podcaster was reportedly booted from one of Drake's parties.
According to The Blast, Althoff attended the singer’s SXSW after-party at Mayfair nightclub but was escorted out by security.
Although the 38-year-old rapper wasn’t in attendance at the party, his team reportedly took the executive decision to remove Althoff from the premises because she showed up uninvited.

Last month, the mother of two announced that she was walking away from the podcast in a final episode titled, “This Is The Last Episode.”
As reported by The Blast, Althoff expressed gratitude for the house, car, and lots of “stuff” the podcast had given her. She also appreciated the memories and “great guests” she encountered during the show and said that she was truly going to miss “doing the podcast.”
