The icon is putting her grief aside for a minute and letting her hair down with all her girlfriends in Sin City as part of plans for a limited residency in the city. An insider shared that it has been a little over four months since Dean passed away, and the singer has held the fort very impressively.
"She's looking forward to hanging out with the crew and meeting up with some friends for laughs and maybe the occasional glass of wine in Vegas, though she's not a big drinker," a source shared.
The insider added that kicking it on stage for her residency via roof-raising performances will also be a great way to get back into her groove. "It'll get her out of the house, she'll be able to dress up in her fancy costumes and perform for the fans, which she loves to do," the insider noted.
According to RadarOnline, Parton's friends are also excited to see her have fun and really let loose after all these years of caring for her late husband.

She disclosed to reporters at the 40th opening ceremony for Dollywood in Tennessee that she was taking her loss in giant strides, much to her surprise.
The Blast noted that Parton expressed that, after nearly 60 years with the love of her life, she had no choice but to relearn some of the things they had grown accustomed to that she now has to do alone.
"It's a hole in my heart, you know, but we'll fill that up with good stuff and he'll still always be with me," Parton shared, adding that she still feels great peace knowing that her husband was finally resting.
She reminisced on some of Dean's favorite activities, including visiting Dollywood alone without her influence.

The singer carried herself in an extravagant manner, from her big hair to her exotic costumes and very luxurious taste in everything. However, she kept one part of her life away from the cameras: her marriage to Dean.
The duo got married in a very intimate ceremony; a union she described as that of complete opposites because Dean was far away from the world of showbiz. The lovebirds met when Parton was 18, and while they spent a fulfilling 50+ years together, they had no children.
When she was not on stage rendering melodious tunes to her teeming fans, she would be by Dean's side, indulging in the little, yet most memorable things of life, such as sightseeing and road trips through Kentucky and Tennessee.
Dean and Parton renewed their vows for their 50th anniversary in an intimate ceremony at their Nashville home in 2016.

As shared by The Blast, Parton disclosed in 2023 that her decision not to have kids with Dean was a mutual and very peaceful one. Aside from not carrying a burning desire to become a mother, she could also stay committed to her career without distractions.
The singer added that as a young couple, she and Dean married with the assumption that they might eventually be parents, but music had other plans.
Parton added that the decision to press pause on her world-dominating career to focus on raising a child might have been inevitable if she had decided to birth one.
In fact, the singer was beyond grateful not to have raised a child in today's climate, as she added: "I always say God didn't let me have children so that all kids could be mine."

Parton ensured that all these struggles were kept private and out of the media. The singer also preferred to care for him at home due to the apparent decline in his physical fitness, age, and health status. In the insider's words:
"It's called slowing down — he relies on Dolly and the staff more these days — but Dolly says it's better than the alternative."
