Former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has been hit by new disturbing allegations years after she was accused of fostering a toxic work environment.

A former employee on the set of her eponymous talk show alleged that the comedian hated male staff and let executives pressure a senior staff member to reschedule their child's major surgery to suit her schedule.

More interestingly, sources shared how protective Ellen DeGeneres tends to be with her wife, Portia de Rossi, as they claimed she didn't like people talking to the actress.

According to the Daily Mail, a former cameraman who worked on DeGeneres' eponymous program, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," has come forward with disturbing claims about how the comedian allegedly treated staff harshly and disliked male employees chatting with her wife, Portia de Rossi.

The source told the news outlet that DeGeneres was inconsiderate about the welfare of her staff, claiming that she once made a high-ranking producer reschedule a major operation for their child to suit her schedule during the busy Christmas season.

"The kid had a major surgery - like a bone marrow transplant," the insider said. "It was asked of this particular person if the kid's 'thing' - that's what they referred to it as - was the same week as the Christmas holiday week."

"This was a person pretty high up. This person was asked if they could move the procedure around the Christmas holiday week, for Ellen," the ex-staffer recalled.

They added, "They were there on the day of the taping that week - Ellen got exactly what she wanted. It was all loyalty to the show, but no loyalty to staff."

DeGeneres is no stranger to unsettling scandals, having faced bullying claims before her show was eventually canceled in 2022. Since then, she and her wife relocated to England and have largely been out of the spotlight.

During hosting days, she portrayed a warm demeanor to viewers and would often close each episode with the word "Be Kind."

However, the source who spoke to the Daily Mail alleges that she's a totally different person and exhibited one of the worst behaviors on set, including notable disdain for men.

"We went through a lot of male employees just in general," the insider said, drawing attention to how DeGeneres burned through nine stage managers in just one season, which was an "insane number" to them.

"We had a feeling she really didn't like guys," the former staff added.

DeGeneres also allegedly lost her cool with staff "if they were ever caught in conversation with Portia."

The source narrated how she had a special seat reserved for her wife during tapings, and no one could miss it even if they tried, as it was marked by a "gold plaque."

"And listen - you knew, if you see that golden plaque, stay the hell away," the source said, referring to her protectiveness. "Portia was nice, she would say 'hi'. But Ellen - she would be in her chair, it would be a commercial break, and if she didn't know you, she would ask about you."

"You just hoped and prayed you weren't seated by her wife, so you didn't get her attention. You wanted to avoid looking into what we called the 'Ellen gaze,'" the former cameraman noted.

Beyond her protective nature when it came to her wife, DeGeneres' stare reportedly left her staff members feeling uneasy and concerned that they were in trouble.

Describing DeGeneres' gaze, the insider said it "was bad" if she "stayed looking at you," noting that her "eyes would get more narrow, her cheekbones would stick out."

The ex-employee noted that staff were "probably okay" if DeGeneres "looked away."

They added, "It was just weird - cameras on, she'd be dancing, doing all this fun stuff, and cameras off - she was terrifying."

Ellen DeGeneres Allegedly Loathed Gordon Ramsay

Other claims made include reports that she loathed Gordon Ramsay after he called her out for using rancid meat during a cookery demonstration. The situation seemingly translated to the celebrity chef never returning to her show.

"He gave her some quip. They were doing a food test together, and Ellen offered him a sample first," the source said.

"As soon as he bit in, he was like 'This is rubbish. This is disgusting,'" he recalled. "She didn't like the reaction. It was like eight seasons he didn't come back for after."

Reports have earlier suggested that DeGeneres was planning a Hollywood comeback, but following the disturbing claims, it remains to be seen how possible that would be.
