The singer's father addressed his arrest, stating that his son's mental health is well handled and would need all the support he can get from members of the public.
Lil Nas X was taken into custody by law enforcement officials after he allegedly charged at officers who confronted him for walking naked on the street of Los Angeles on Friday.
Lil Nas X's Father Conveyed His Apology To Members Of The Public

The singer's father, Robert Stafford, informed the press that his son was channeling his attention on getting all the help he needed to get better. He, however, clarified that his son was not suffering from drug abuse despite being transported to the hospital for a suspected overdose.
When asked to give fans an update on how the singer was feeling, Stafford said, "He's in good spirits. He's all right. He's very remorseful for what happened," adding that it can happen to any family.
Stafford encouraged everyone to extend the same grace God gives to everyone to the embattled artist, as he affirmed that he will get home to his loved ones later in the day following his bail being set at $75k.
Per TMZ, the artist's dad was sure he would give "God all the glory" as soon as he came out of police custody.
Inside The 'Industry Baby' Singer's Bail Arrangement

Nas X insists he is not guilty of the four felony charges leveled against him by entering a plea, leading to a judge setting his bail at $75,000. The outlet reported that the judge also set some stringent rules regarding his conduct with drugs.
Should the singer be released on bail, the judge has ordered him to stay away from owning, using, or processing illegal narcotics. He must also sign up for an outpatient program to help him curb his drug issues.
Nas X was reportedly first ferried off to the hospital when police officers initially arrested him on suspicion that he was heavily intoxicated. It was from the facility that he was eventually transferred to a holding custody, where he faced years in prison after the Los Angeles D.A. charged him.
The Rapper Reportedly Dealt With Mental Health Struggles Pre-Arrest

The media personality has always maintained a bubbly and honest personality online, which was why his conduct before his arrest sounded familiar to observers who had prior knowledge of his mental health problems.
The Blast noted that in February, he shared a video online revealing that he had struggled for a few years now and was only beginning to get his spark back. He shared his resolve to find genuine happiness in moments that mattered and not in numbers or chart placements, instead focusing on his creativity.
A few months later, he posted a picture of himself on a hospital bed with a slightly paralyzed face, fueling reports that he is battling Bell's palsy.
Nas X also got candid in a 2020 interview about his heavy reliance on marijuana during a trying time in his career. The aftermath of his addiction left him in an anxious mental state where he feared for his well-being.
The 26-Year-Old Addressed The Controversial Nature Of His Past Musical Projects

From putting his spin on the classic "Old Town Road" to making his mark on "Industry Baby" to bringing down the house with his single "Call Me By Your Name," Nas X has found a way to stay on fans' lips.
Nas X took the heat a step further when he released a pair of shoes called "Satan Shoes" with Nike Air Max and really topped things off with his "J CHRIST" single.
The latter featured the artist likening himself to Jesus Christ, an act that displeased so many religious conservatives who practically canceled him. However, for the 24-year-old, if he had debuted in this era with his past stunts, conservatives would have tried to eliminate him.
He noted that the environment and climate in America have changed since the last election cycle, making it unsafe for him to release controversial music anymore.
Lil Nas X Slammed By Other Hip Hop Artists

Part of the backlash against Nas X came from fellow industry talents like artist Boosie Badazz and rapper T.I.
The singer and Badazz went into a social media back-and-forth in 2021 after he wished death upon Nas X for wanting to collaborate with him. Badazz also tagged Nas X the f-ggot word, telling him he would do the world a huge favor by taking his own life.
In a separate situation, T.I. doubled down on a homophobic rant from DaBaby where he shamed people living with "HIV and AIDS" and men pleasuring men.
The "No Mediocre" rapper defended his colleague and insisted that if Nas X is allowed to express himself without restriction, the "Rockstar" artist should not be an exception.
