Megan Fox 'Not Walking Back' Into a Relationship With MGK But 'They Have a Solid Understanding Now'

Hollywood's favorite duo, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, may be on good terms with each other, but the chapter on their once-fiery romance is still closed. 

The American actress called it quits with MGK in November last year and, shortly after, gave birth to a baby girl for him. 

The duo was recently spotted in Costa Rica, but their relationship reportedly remains on a co-parenting basis and nothing more. 

Fox and MGK have been taking it one step at a time, adjusting to life with their newborn. After a painful split, they are not in a rush to define things, but are focusing on the health and well-being of their daughter. 

As reported by People Magazine, a source confirmed that despite not being in a relationship with each other, there is no longer tension between the two. 

"The truth is, no one's pushing for labels. Megan and Colson [MGK] are focused on whether this evolving connection can truly last beyond just co-parenting," the source commented. 

"Megan's not closing the door for good on a relationship, but she's not walking back in completely either," the source also added. 

The insider further noted that Fox and MGK's relationship has dramatically improved since last year, and their recent vacation to Costa Rica was not to rekindle any romance. "For the first time in a long while, they felt like good friends again. They have a solid understanding now," the source said. 

The high-profile couple first met in 2020 on the set of "Midnight in Switchgrass." They got engaged in 2020 and announced that they were expecting a child, Saga Blade Fox-Baker,  in 2024. However, they went their separate ways when Fox reportedly found upsetting things on the rapper's phone.

Earlier this month, the 35-year-old rapper was featured on "Today With Jenna And Friends." During the show, he spoke to Jenna Bush Hager about how much his life has changed since Saga entered his life. 

He gushed over being a father for the second time, calling it an "awesome" experience. He also lauded his ex-partner, Fox, for doing all the heavy lifting in raising their daughter. 

"It's awesome. I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work,'" MGK told Hager. 

Formally known as Colson Baker, MGK is now a father to two daughters, with his first being from a relationship with his ex, Emma Cannon. 

Last month, MGK and Megan Fox spent some much-needed family time in Costa Rica with their new baby. While they have been to the tourist hotspot before, it was their first time going with their newest family addition. 

As reported by The Blast, the couple went on vacation only as co-parents, as all romantic ties between them have long been severed.  

They were spotted wearing casual outfits as Fox held Saga. The actress donned a gray hoodie and sweatpants, while her former partner wore a black hoodie and black pants. 

Although Saga was a welcome addition to Fox and MGK's lives, she was unplanned. Earlier in the year, the 39-year-old actress shared a post on Instagram, showing a video that was taken when she was six weeks pregnant. 

Per The Blast, she wrote in the caption: "38 years old, six weeks pregnant (unplanned but a happy surprise). She further encouraged women to "stop listening to the patriarchy," lauding them as "eternal light beings" with "no expiration date."

Saga's birth marks Fox's fourth child. She previously welcomed three children with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green. 

When MGK spoke about fatherhood with Hager, he noted that fans often praised him for being a great dad to Saga. However, Fox, who is more hands-on with the baby, wasn't pleased with the comments, as reported by The Blast.

The guitarist recalled Fox getting angered about the compliments.

"Someone the other day was like, 'You're such a good dad!' Just because I was holding the baby. And she was fuming, like, 'No, no, no, no.' She's the one. I just play the guitar and pray that the baby is happy," MGK recalled.
