West Wilson is booked and busy! The podcast host, Bravo reality star, sports personality, and producer at Complex just recently partnered with two major brands in a unique collab - Captain Morgan Sliced and Pluto Golf.
Known for Bravo’s “Summer House” and his unfiltered podcast presence alongside WNBA star Sophie Cunningham, Wilson brings his charm, relatability, and cultural influence to the dual partnership, creating an unforgettable collab that blends personality and style.
He recently had some time to sit down with The Blast to discuss the partnership, the new podcast, this WNBA season, and “Summer House.”
West Wilson Partnered With Two Major Brands For Exciting Merch Drop

As someone who’s more recently found that he enjoys golf as a pastime, it seems Wilson is the perfect face of the new partnership between Captain Morgan Sliced and Pluto Golf.
“Captain Morgan and I got together two summers ago with the Sliced canned beverage and the theme was like slicing things off your bucket list and there was a lot of travel based fun promos,” Wilson told The Blast exclusively.
“And this summer we’re doing Sliced in the golf form, which is kind of perfect for me as someone who has not mastered their swing yet. It kinda works. I was just joking that we did our first video shoot and they told me to drive the ball and the first thing it did was slice into the woods. It kind of worked for what we were trying to accomplish so this is perfect.”
Play The Slice Capsule Collection

This collab includes Pluto Golf and their first ever apparel collab - the Play the Slice Capsule Collection. The limited-edition line is streetwear meets golf and features polos, hats, shorts, windbreakers, and P1 sneakers.
“The colors are really cool,” he continued. “It’s nice for me, as a football guy from Missouri, I’ve always thought that golf fashion was a little bit too clean for my taste and so it’s been fun to kind of add some streetwear to it and throw a hat on backwards and have some fun, so it’s been really cool.”
The limited-edition Capsule Collection brings bold style to the golf course and builds on the “Play the Slice” campaign with Captain Morgan. In a recent photo shoot, Wilson wore one of the windbreakers.
“To me, the color scheme is what’s dope. It’s black and purple with pink and the black and pink/purple combo looks really, really good,” Wilson said. “We did a shoot in L.A. a few weeks ago and the pictures turned out really cool. I think the colors is what I love the most, but the Pluto brand itself has been crushing it for a while, so I’m a big fan.”
The Play the Slice Capsule Collection drops exclusively on Pluto.Golf beginning on August 22. Don't wait too long to get yours because it's only available while supplies last. Follow @CaptainMorganUSA and @Pluto.Golf on Instagram for more exclusive content and information.
West Wilson Shares What Got Him Onto The Golf Course

When asked what it was that got him into golf, Wilson said it was “horrible FOMO.”
“Any time the boys get together and do something fun without me, a piece of my heart falls to the floor,” he said. “It’s been kind of scheduled into a few weddings I’ve been over the past year and bachelor parties, to almost where I couldn’t escape it and you’re either going to pout and not have fun the whole time or enjoy yourself.”
Wilson said he’s “not good at golf yet,” but sometimes connects with it and enjoys chasing “that high.”
When he’s enjoying his time on the course, his drink of choice has been Sliced. As for a favorite flavor, he reminisced about his first Captain Morgan shoot in New Orleans.
“They had the Hurricane flavor which is very New Orleans-inspired, so that’s the one I always remember as my first sip on Bourbon Street,” Wilson shared. “So it’s pretty nostalgic, and it’s hard to get away from that one.”
'Show Me Something' Podcast With WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham

Just a few weeks ago, Wilson and his childhood friend, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham, started their podcast. According to a social media post from Boardroom announcing the podcast, “Longtime friends from Columbia, Missouri, the two link up weekly for Show Me Something, a fast-talking, no-rules show covering sports, pop culture, and everything in between.”
Wilson shared that the podcast has been “really eye opening” for him because he didn’t realize the huge impact the podcast would have in the “WNBA ecosystem” so quickly.
“Sophie’s certainly a very outspoken person, I think everyone knew that, but like as someone who’s been interviewing people for a living for a long time, just asking questions to a friend on this podcast and these are becoming very tier-A headlines within the WNBA space,” he said. “It’s kind of felt like just a positive surprise to see everything take over so fast. Anything sports related for me right now is really fun.”
He added that Cunningham is “teammates with probably the most well-known face in the WNBA” (Caitlin Clark) and that’s helped, and he explained that the WNBA is feeling “reality TV-esque” to him lately, making it even more fun.
When asked how the podcast came to be, he said he’s been offered podcasts in the past, but he didn’t want to just stick to the “Bravo-space.” Being a sports lover, this podcast called out to him.
“I guess, not so often do you have someone from your childhood who’s also pretty well-known face,” he said. “It was kind of in the works for a while but then the Volume, who we’re with now, just made it happen.”
West Wilson Balances Reality TV, Complex, The Podcast, And More

Wilson makes balancing reality tv, a podcast, being a producer at Complex, and everything else he’s doing look easy and flawless. He explained that he doesn't focus on just the reality TV side of his life.
“I’m busy a lot and all over the place but I’ve sort of made a promise to myself to keep focuses on other things other than just the reality TV portion of my life,” he shared. “I mean, sports are important to me anyway, that’s always been something I loved.”
He said that reality TV can be “so much and so heavy at times” so it can be tough to “escape it," so he makes staying grounded and having something outside of that a priority.
Speaking of the reality show, one last question had to be about Wilson’s relationship with Ciara on "Summer House" since the last reunion.
“It’s always a work in progress,” he said. “But we’ll see. I can say, nothing will ever be as bad as that first reunion. There’s nowhere to go but up.”
