Jana Duggar Announces First Baby Arrival Month A Year After 'Dream Come True' Wedding

Jana Duggar is going to be a mom!

The media personality best known for starring on her family's hit TLC series "19 Kids and Counting" recently announced her pregnancy. She broke the news days after celebrating her 1st wedding anniversary.

Jana Duggar tied the knot to Stephen Wissmann on August 15, 2024. Their union marked a deeper bond between their families as her younger brother, Jeremiah Duggar, said his vows to Stephen's sister Hannah Wissmann in March 2022.

Jana broke the news about her pregnancy on Instagram, dropping three pictures depicting her burgeoning baby bump and blissful married life. The first image was a black-and-white snap that captured her and Stephen sharing a steamy kiss with their bodies pressed together.

The second picture featured a close-up of Stephen kissing Jana's forehead while touching her stomach. The PDA continued in the third snap with the lovebirds enjoying a warm embrace while smiling lovingly into each other's eyes.

Jana addressed her pregnancy in the post's caption, writing: "We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family! We're counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!"

Jana's pregnancy update received tons of love from fans and the Duggars, with her sister Jill Duggar Dillard penning her excitement for the couple. Jessa Duggar Seewald echoed similar sentiments, noting she "can't wait to meet this baby!!"

The love and support continued with one fan earning a thank you from Jana for dropping a thoughtful comment. "So happy for you! Wishing you a safe and happy pregnancy. You got this! You feel like family... just so many others do. I feel like a proud grandma," the individual wrote.

More fans penned their congratulations and well wishes, with many hoping Jana's pregnancy was a sign of more good things to come. The big news comes a year after the former TLC star tied the knot in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

The event was a family-filled affair, with Jana's sister, Jessa, serving as the maid of honor. Her other sisters and sister-in-law were the bridesmaids. After exchanging traditional vows and lighting a unity candle, the couple celebrated with 500 guests at the reception.

Jana noted her wedding ceremony was "a dream come true," adding that it was incredible watching the event come to life. Her relationship with Stephen started over 13 years ago when their families first met during a snowstorm that trapped them in the Duggars' Arkansas home.

Although the time their families spent together marked the first time they met, Jana confessed that she did not remember meeting Stephen due to their age difference. The pair crossed paths years later and briefly dated.

Despite breaking up, Jana and Stephen stayed in contact but did not rekindle their bond until they became in-laws after their siblings married. "It was like, 'What are we doing? We still enjoy each other. We still really appreciate each other,'" Jana recalled in an interview.

After realizing their feelings for each other, Jana and Stephen continued their romantic relationship. They announced their engagement in June 2024 and married on August 15, with their first child set to arrive in January 2026.

Despite gaining fame for two reality TV series with her family, Jana preferred to stay under the radar. She took a long absence from social media after getting embroiled in a child endangerment drama in 2021, but made a surprising comeback last year.

The Blast shared that she dropped a wellness update on her YouTube page, revealing she was focused on tending to her family's farm and working on building a new fence from scratch. She assured fans she was well, generating several positive reactions from excited fans.

Jana's return to the spotlight touched many after she faced criticisms for a child endangerment case. At the time, she addressed the matter, noting she was babysitting when one of the children escaped outside without her knowledge.

Fortunately, the child was not hurt as a passerby noticed them and called the police. Jana escaped the legal drama without getting arrested; however, The Blast reported that she received an $880 fine after settling the case out of court.
