Britney Spears is not impressed by what the kiddies have these days. The 39-year-old pop singer today revealed she's gotten herself a new phone, although it was quite a while into her Tuesday Instagram share for the reveal to come. Earlier today, the "Toxic" singer updated for her 30.1 million followers with an old-fashioned, black-and-white photo recalling old times, ones long before the Grammy winner was even born. Britney was talking about the two "rascals" in the photo she shared. See her stream of consciousness below.

Scroll for the photo. Anyone reading this who remembers life before cell phones, Amazon Prime, TikTok, and "screen time" may well relate. Britney's photo showed two children by a wooden fence and dressed in summer tanks or just diaper-esque pants. Affording '50s vibes, the snap came with Spears talking about kids playing "outside."
Britney referenced cousins of hers she once played with, saying that playhouse-building was the norm, as were dolls. "I feel like our parents let us roam more freely when played outside because we all knew each other," she wrote.

Britney, fresh from showing off her Hebrew "healing" tattoo as she gears up for court this month, continued:
"The whole neighborhood would hang out at my house … sit on the bar stools lined up playing video games 🎮 … and most of them were in high school when I was a little and I was always begging for their attention because I didn’t know how to play video games."
The post even saw the "Piece of Me" hit-maker admit to her childhood crush, aged just six. See it after the snap.

Spears, twice divorced and in a relationship with personal trainer Sam Asghari since 2016, told her followers: " I even had a crush on an older guy in high school and got excited when he would pick me up and throw me in the air when I was six 💨 … the good ole times !!!!"
Back to old ways and how she prefers them, the blonde said she feels kids today are "very protected" and that there's a "sense of loss and curiosity in children's eyes cause of technology" - here, the star revealed a new phone.

Britney's fans, who often wonder if she has a phone, got their answer. "! I mean … I get it …. I just got a new phone and feel like my whole world has changed," she wrote.
Of course, comments are now topped by references to the singer's hit "Overprotected" track: "You could say kids these days are...overprotected," the fan wrote. "Britney got a new phone y'all," another said. Britney is fresh from an update with 27-year-old Asghari. See them below.
