Lady Gaga is officially stepping into the creepy, kooky world of "Wednesday," and she’s already sending chills down spines.
The 39-year-old pop icon makes her eerie debut in the just-released trailer for the second part of the hit Netflix series’ sophomore season.
While Lady Gaga doesn’t physically appear in the teaser, her voice closes out the clip with a bone-chilling whisper directed at Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega.

Viewers hear Gaga whisper, “Beware. There will be a price to pay," leaving fans quivering.
Netflix revealed Gaga will play Rosaline Rotwood, a “legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday,” a role fans have been buzzing about since it was first teased.
The trailer opens with Wednesday waking up in a hospital bed and coming face-to-face with her “new spirit guide," the late Principal Weems, played by Gwendoline Christie.
“Principal Weems!?” Wednesday exclaims in disbelief before receiving the oddest welcome back possible, an offer for a sponge bath.
“This isn’t hell, Miss Addams,” Weems assures her, “but I understand the confusion.”

The second part of season two is set to drop on September 3, and Netflix is clearly leaning into the hype.
Gaga’s cameo was first announced in May during the streamer’s Tudum 2025 live event, where she took the stage at the Kia Forum for an eight-minute medley of hits, including her latest single, "Abracadabra," all while channeling the "Wednesday" aesthetic.
Emerging from a coffin marked “Here Lies the Mother Queen,” Gaga fully embraced the gothic vibes, flanked by dancers inspired by the "Addams Family." She even performed the viral Season 1 dance, originally made famous by Ortega, to The Cramps’ "Goo Goo Muck," before mashing it up with her own "Bloody Mary."
In a full-circle moment, Ortega joined Gaga on stage, sending fans into a frenzy.
Netflix later posted on X, “Welcome to Nevermore, Mother Monster,” confirming her role in the supernatural series.
Season 2 Premiere Matches Record-Breaking Debut

Netflix’s gamble to split "Wednesday"’s second season into two parts is already paying off.
According to Variety, the gothic hit returned on August 4 and pulled in a staggering 50 million views in its first five days, matching the debut performance of Season 1 back in November 2022.
At the time, Netflix ranked its Top 10 by hours viewed, with Season 1 logging 341.1 million hours in five days. When factoring in its six-hour, 49-minute runtime, that equates to roughly 50.1 million views, putting the new season neck-and-neck with the original’s breakout numbers.
A Shocking Death Could Be Coming

Season 2 has been dropping hints that Wednesday’s beloved best friend, Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers, may not make it out alive, a twist that would send shockwaves through Nevermore and force Jenna Ortega’s famously stoic Wednesday into uncharted emotional territory.
While fans are bracing for heartbreak, many have admitted they’re curious to see how such a loss could push Wednesday into one of her most memorable on-screen moments yet.
Co-creator Al Gough and showrunner Miles Millar have kept plot details under wraps, but Millar teased in a Netflix press release that the creative team came into Season 2 with more freedom than ever.
“We have a bigger scope,” he said. “We had the confidence going in now knowing that people like the show. We could explore more, and be more daring in terms of the storylines and the character arcs. The toy box got bigger, and we had the freedom to really do the show we always wanted to do.”
Jenna Ortega On Stepping Back Into Wednesday’s World

For Ortega, slipping back into Wednesday Addams’ dark, deadpan world was a thrill. “Honestly, the most exciting thing is just being able to revisit her,” the 22-year-old star said.
She continued, “Wednesday Addams is one of the coolest characters of all time, so to have gotten the opportunity to play her once was incredible, and then to be able to slip into the costume and tone again, it’s so much fun.”
Ortega says part of the joy comes from Wednesday’s sharp wit and unmatched intellect. “She runs circles around everyone that she has a conversation with. Getting to play someone who’s so much more intelligent than you will ever be is quite funny and strange and enjoyable,” Ortega added.
