Ever since theDaily Mail shared photos of Kanye West enjoying what they reported as a "romantic trip" to Provence, France in honor of the rapper's 44th birthday, fans have been wanting to know more about his rumored new girlfriend, Irina Shayk.

Months after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from West after just under seven years of marriage and four children, Shayk is making headlines as his alleged first girlfriend post-split.

So, who is she?

Shayk is a 35-year-old Russian model and actress who first crossed paths with West over a decade ago when she appeared in his music video for the song "Power."

In 2014, after modeling for brands including Victoria's Secret, Lacoste, and Armani Exchange, Shayk appeared in the film "Hercules." Then, two years later, she was featured in an episode of "Inside Amy Schumer."

More recently, Shayk has modeled for designers, including Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Givenchy, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Phillipp Plein.

As for her love life, Shayk isn't necessarily a stranger to high-profile romances. In fact, she's dated and been linked to a number of famous faces.

Shayk, who previously dated soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and was linked to Dwayne Johnson, was most recently committed to actor Bradley Cooper. As some may know, Shayk and Cooper welcomed daughter Lea De Seine in March 2017 and split in 2019, reportedly due to Cooper's busy schedule.

"Irina truly had high hopes for their future together and felt once the baby was born they would find the time to marry but that never came to fruition. She wanted more from Bradley in every way. But she was unhappy and felt he spent too much time working," an insider told Entertainment Tonight, via The Hits.

"Recently Irina decided enough is enough. She didn't feel she was getting the level of commitment she wanted and the endless fighting made their life unbearable. They are very different people and once they realised it was the baby that was holding them together, it was time to call it quits."

As for how Cooper feels about Shayk's rumored new romance with West, an insider told Us Weekly that hr “would be fully supportive of whoever Irina chooses to date” and "just wants her to be happy,"

“Bradley and Irina are not just on good terms as coparents, they’re also close as friends and share personal things with each other,” the source added.

“If it doesn’t impact her kids, then she doesn’t mind if Kanye dates,” a source told E! News of Kardashian. 

Meanwhile, another insider added, “Irina and Kim don’t know each other, so it’s a non-factor for Kim. She doesn’t mind if Kanye is dating.”

West and Kardashian tied the knot in May 2014 and Kardashian filed for divorce in February of this year.
