Leonardo DiCaprio Humiliated In Ibiza As Cops Stop And Search The Movie Star Without Recognizing Him

Leonardo DiCaprio experienced quite a humbling moment in Ibiza when he and his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, stepped out for an exclusive party earlier this month.

The A-List actor was stopped and searched by Spanish police while attempting to gain entrance to the party, with officers reportedly having no idea who they were dealing with.

It comes after Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti were spotted with newlyweds, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, on a double date aboard the billionaire's $485 million super yacht at sea.

DiCaprio had to endure a rare case of celebrity anonymity when he and his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, attended an exclusive party held at a private villa in Ibiza.

In an awkward footage obtained by the Daily Mail, the "Wolf Of Wall Street" actor, dressed in a black outfit and his signature baseball cap, can be seen being held up in the street with Ceretti and a couple of people who seemed to be with him.

He calmly held out the contents of his pockets for the authorities to inspect. In the background, a woman believed to be Ceretti can be heard saying, "They are searching me full-on right now."

According to the news outlet, eyewitnesses say the 50-year-old actor had to introduce himself to the police and was required to show some form of identification before he and his group were eventually admitted into the event.

The party, which was hosted by tequila company Patron and Spanish actor/singer Aron Piper, saw a slew of popular faces. Other stars who were present inside the venue include Kendall Jenner and Tobey Maguire.

It appears DiCaprio wasn't the only celebrity who had to go through the standard security check at the gate.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Stars are just like us. Leo was one of many famous faces at the event. Even he gets doubted at the door. The police did a double-take when Leo checked in. He was kind and joking with them."

According to the news outlet, the insider confirmed that every attendee, regardless of their fame, had to undergo the same security screening.

In fact, some of them weren't so lucky as reports suggest that Travis Scott was denied entrance and asked to turn back.

The Oscar winner and his girlfriend have been inseparable since they got together after meeting at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where his movie "Killers Of The Flower Moon" was premiering.

According to the Daily Mail, the pair joined Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his newlywed wife Lauren Sanchez on a double date aboard their super yacht, Koru.

It wasn't the first time DiCaprio and Ceretti boarded the ship, as they previously joined other stars for a trip in Sardinia last summer.

The "Titanic" actor kept it casual, sporting a plain white T-shirt and shorts, as well as his trademark baseball cap and shades. Ceretti showed off her toned physique in a blue strapless top that she paired with black yoga pants.

Meanwhile, Bezos and Lauren opted for clashing prints, with the Blue Origin boss wearing vintage swimming trunks and a navy T-shirt, while his wife wore a printed kimono over a bikini.

The double date came barely weeks after Bezos and Sanchez tied the knot in an exclusive Venice wedding, which garnered massive backlash for its extravagance.

The event gathered the who's who in Hollywood, with DiCaprio and Ceretti part of the VIP guests in attendance.

However, the "Shutter Island" star, who's known for his environmental advocacy, was branded a "hypocrite" for flying to Venice for the ceremony.

Earlier in March, DiCaprio took to his Instagram account to hit out at the Albanese government for approving a mine expansion that'll see a large chunk of forest in Western Australia disappear.

The actor faced heavy criticism over his appearance at the wedding due to his earlier remarks about "deforestation."

He wrote on Instagram: "The Australian government has approved deforestation within the Jarrah Forest of Western Australia, clearing the way for the mining of bauxite, the main ingredient in aluminum [sic]."

"The mining company @south_32 is set to clear 9,600 acres of this old growth forest, which is home to threatened species like the Critically Endangered Woylie," the actor added.

DiCaprio went on to point out how the "operation will destroy critical habitat for over 8,000 species, 80 per cent of which are found nowhere else on Earth."

According to the Daily Mail, the Oscar was slammed for supporting Bezos amid Amazon's substantial carbon footprint.

Reports suggest more than 90 private jets flew into the airport for the wedding, although it remains unknown if DiCaprio boarded any to the romantic city.
