Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman's, wallet is about to fall four figures short every month.
The iconic singer's son's drug problems did not stop the court from ordering him to pay monthly spousal support to his ex-wife, Marieangela King, months after she filed for divorce from the musician.
Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman, and Marieangela King's marriage reportedly ended due to irreconcilable differences, and tension in the union allegedly caused by his superstar mother.
Cher's Son To Pay $6,500 In Spousal Support To His Ex-Wife

The 49-year-old was ordered by a Los Angeles Superior Court to pay the monthly lump sum to his estranged wife as a form of financial support. The judgment claimed that Allman had not filed any response to the "initial Dissolution petition or today's Request for Order."
The court continued that the service was also executed within such a short time, which means the court can proceed with its ruling in Allman's absence. The musician's spousal support is reportedly payable on the first and second halves of every month, that is, every two weeks.
As reported by PEOPLE, Allman's payment will begin on Friday, August 15, and the court pronounced that arrears from July 1 must be paid within 30 days.
Inside Marieangela King's Spousal Support Petition

The 38-year-old in her June 20 filing for spousal support claimed that the request for financial aid below her "marital standard" was necessary following her inability to currently support herself financially. King asked for an additional $10,000 to hire a lawyer alongside her four-figure spousal support request.
She asked the court to enforce a full financial declaration from both parties to help them gain clarity and fairness in the case, insisting that her requests were far from excess or luxury. King claimed that her ex's mother was responsible for their sophisticated lifestyle before the divorce.
The lifestyle includes trips to Europe in first and business class, lodging in 5-star hotels with access to private pools, gyms, chefs, maids, and a therapist.
Aside from funding from his mother, King claimed that her ex received a regular flow of money from music residuals, trust funds, and "major contributions coming to him from family and his mother.
King stressed that it will take a long while for her to earn a marital standard salary should she return to the workforce. She revealed that her former spouse was getting" a minimum of $20,000 a month from two separate accounts," reiterating that his mother's finances funded their lavish lifestyle.
Marieangela Blames Allman's Mom For Marital Woes

In April, The Blast shared that King slammed the songstress for playing a role in her divorce from Allman. According to King, Cher's presence in their lives continued to cause issues in their marriage till King found it hard to tolerate both mother and son.
The cold war between King and Cher began in 2013 when she failed to congratulate the duo after their engagement. Allman downplayed the tension between his mother and his wife in an interview years later, describing it as a clash between two women with strong personalities.
"You've got two strong women, two big bulls in the pen. I think there's a respect, and I think they butt heads a little," Allman explained.
King continued in a 2022 filing that the singer hired four men to take Allman out of a hotel room they had lodged in while trying to resolve the problems in their marriage. She noted that they took him to an unknown treatment center, claiming that the rehab was working for Cher, although Cher denied the claim.
The 79-Year-Old Failed In Conservatorship Bid For Her Son

Last year, as noted by The Blast, Cher's request for immediate conservatorship of her son failed to scale through the courts. The presiding judge reportedly discovered that the singer's lawyers failed to make the necessary paperwork available to Allman's team to help them prepare their case.
Allman explained that he received a letter about a petition, but the address on the letter confused him, so he disregarded it. However, Allman noted that even if he did acknowledge the mail, the timing was already too close to the hearing date.
He stated that while he is impressed with his mother's concern for him and his well-being, her "unsolicited" support was unnecessary. He stressed in his second filing that he has also stayed off alcohol for about 90 days, meaning he is capable of making healthy financial decisions for himself.
Cher had initially stated that his reason for making a conservatorship request was to help her son make healthy financial choices and navigate his way through his addiction.
Cher's Son Was Hospitalized For An Alleged Drug Overdose

The 49-year-old reportedly experienced a medical emergency in June when he was rushed to the hospital for immediate care after an alleged drug overdose. According to inside sources, the musician was reportedly weighed down by the stress of his divorce and the emotional weight of celebrating Father's Day.
First responders were called to his residence in Landers, California, after his family discovered him in an alarming state. Law enforcement reportedly discovered narcotics at the scene, prompting his transfer to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
Allman reportedly felt empty knowing that his father, rock legend Gregg Allman, was not around to spend time with him on Father's Day. The duo allegedly shared a very close relationship and was the only person the 49-year-old felt he could trust with everything.
