Diddy hopes to reignite his friendship with Donald Trump over their legal ordeals!
The rapper, born Sean John Combs, is reportedly keeping the president in mind if his sentencing goes south. His longtime legal rep claimed he would immediately join the MAGA team if the POTUS pardoned his crimes.
Diddy fell from grace last September following his arrest and indictment on scathing sex abuse allegations. He is scheduled to be sentenced in October after successfully evading the racketeering and sex trafficking accusations in his highly publicized case.
Diddy To Become Donald Trump's Supporter If Granted Clemency

Diddy's longtime attorney, Mark Geragos, addressed the possible reunion between his client and Trump during a recent appearance on the "2 Angry Men" podcast. He noted the pair shared a type of bond after enduring the wrath of federal prosecutors.
Geragos explained that those who have been tried criminally typically dislike prosecutors because they feel tormented by their prosecution. In Diddy and Trump's case, the attorney believed they could bond over their legal ordeals.
The legal expert added that this bond would influence Diddy's support for the MAGA agenda if Trump pardoned his crimes, per TMZ. Geragos's claims about his client trading loyalty to the president for clemency come after Trump withdrew his stance on forgiving Diddy.
The POTUS May Not Pardon The Record Producer

Trump initially shared that he was open to considering Diddy for a presidential pardon, noting that he would need to investigate the case to determine if he was qualified for clemency. However, The Blast shared that he changed his tune days earlier during an interview.
The president explained that his friendship with Diddy suddenly ended when he first ran for office. He claimed the rapper turned "hostile" and made some unflattering comments about his administration, noting these factors made it challenging to consider him for a pardon.
"We're human beings. We don't like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements. So, I don't know. It's more difficult," Trump confessed. He added that based on the past, Diddy's clemency was "likely a no."
Inside The Rapper's Comments About The Politician

Trump's stance on Diddy's pardon was understandable, given the rapper's past comments. In a 2020 interview, he claimed America would experience a "race war" if the politician made it into office. He echoed similar sentiments in another interview, arguing that "white men like Trump need to be banished."
"That way of thinking it's real dangerous. This man literally threatened the lives of us and our families about going to vote," Diddy said at the time. He added that "the No. 1 priority is to get Trump out of office." Unlike the rapper, Trump has pardoned multiple celebrities who are also his supporters.
A-listers like NBA Youngboy and Todd and Julie Chrisley were among those pardoned by Trump following his return to the White House. In a viral video, the president called Savannah Chrisley to break the news of her parents' release, noting their incarceration was a "terrible thing."
The Bad Boy Records Founder Is Reportedly Undergoing Therapy

Weeks before the clemency drama, The Blast reported that Diddy appeared to be aiming for a lesser sentence by undergoing therapy. Sources shared that he had enrolled in multiple programs to control his anger and drug issues.
These programs included the STOP Program, a rehabilitation course reportedly offered to inmates to prevent sexual assault, domestic, and dating violence. Additionally, Diddy was enrolled in the Dr. Harry K. Wexler drug abuse program.
Although sources claimed Diddy's rehabilitation was a step closer to redemption, it was common for inmates to join therapy ahead of their sentencing. Many did so, hoping to score a lesser punishment for their crimes by showcasing their willingness to change.
Diddy To Use His Therapy Needs To Push For Home Confinement

Following news of Diddy's therapy enrollment, his lead legal counsel, Marc Agnifilo, shared that they would be pushing against his confinement in prison. Since his arrest last September, the rapper has been incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Agnifilo stressed that Diddy needed therapy to overcome his anger and drug issues and would not get the help he needed behind bars. On that note, he hoped to convince the judge to allow home confinement instead of a prison sentence.
The legal rep added that he would make therapy a key condition for Diddy's "supervised release," arguing that he needed rehabilitation after living his adult life with "deficits." However, home confinement might be a stretch for the rapper, who repeatedly failed to score bail.
Can Diddy convince Donald Trump he is worthy of a pardon?
