Another Hollywood couple has called it quits as "Euphoria" star Jacob Elordi and influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli have ended their relationship after years of being on and off.

Back in April, it appeared things were still going strong when Olivia liked a post from Jacob’s sister, Isabella Elordi, about his latest project, "The Narrow Road to the Deep North."

But since then, Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli have remained noticeably low-key, and signs of a breakup began to surface.

Now, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair, who first sparked dating rumors in late 2021, have recently gone their separate ways. Neither Giannulli nor Elordi has publicly addressed the split.

Their romantic journey has been far from smooth. The two were first spotted grabbing coffee in L.A.’s Silver Lake neighborhood in late 2021, just a month after Elordi’s high-profile breakup with Kaia Gerber. At the time, insiders offered mixed reports, some saying they were "casually dating," while others claimed they weren’t together at all.

By August 2022, Elordi and Giannulli had reportedly ended things, but love rekindled less than a year later.

In June 2023, the duo was seen vacationing in Italy and later spending time with Giannulli’s famous parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, at Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho.

Just weeks later, PEOPLE confirmed they were officially back together and “getting serious," though that apparently didn't last.

The news of the couple’s split also comes less than a year after Elordi made headlines for an alleged assault during a trip to his native Australia.

In February 2024, the "Euphoria" actor, then 26, was involved in a heated confrontation with reporter Joshua Fox outside the Clovelly Hotel in Sydney. Fox, a staffer for "KIIS FM," approached Elordi with a series of questions that reportedly irritated the actor, resulting in a tense exchange that escalated quickly.

According to a statement released by New South Wales Police, “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.”

The report continued, “Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries.”

The breakup news also comes just days after Elordi was seen reuniting with his "Euphoria" co-stars for a rare public night out.

On August 2, cast members, including Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, and Elordi, were spotted enjoying a karaoke night at The GasLite bar in Los Angeles.

In videos shared to X the next day, the group was seen singing “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes, chatting in a booth, and sipping drinks together, marking one of the first major group sightings since season two aired back in 2022.

The get-together arrives as HBO ramps up production on the third and final season of "Euphoria," which officially began filming in February. While details remain scarce, cast members have offered subtle hints about what’s to come.

Zendaya, who plays Rue, previously told The Hollywood Reporter she hopes her character finally finds some peace, saying her wish is “literally just to be able to be alive and maybe enjoy it.”

As for Elordi, in April, he shared, “I just shot my first days of that this week," calling the experience “incredible.”

You also have to understand we've grown up on [Euphoria]. We grew up from late teens into adults on that show. It was beautiful.," he added. "It was really touching to go back and step into that environment, it was like stepping into a time capsule. Nothing had changed."

Eric Dane, who plays Cal Jacobs, recently offered both an update and some heartfelt words about his co-star Elordi.

In a recent interview with Variety, Dane took the opportunity to gush about Elordi, who plays his on-screen son, Nate Jacobs. “I work with Jacob a lot. We have profound conversations when we’re not shooting,” he shared. “He’s a smart, bright, intuitive actor.”

Dane went on to say he’s grateful the young, wildly famous cast, including Elordi and Zendaya, have remained grounded despite their meteoric rise.

“I was just hoping that none of them had an attitude,” he said. “That’s very easy to get when your Instagram following goes from 30,000 to 30 million overnight. But I’m happy to report that everybody’s got a good head on their shoulders. They were professional and still are. I love Jacob, I love Z.”

He concluded by praising Elordi’s authenticity: “I’ve got a pretty good radar when it comes to people that are going to turn into absolute assholes. I just knew with [Jacob] that he was going to be a straight-shooter, level-headed. He’s maintained that.”
