Deborra-Lee Furness Reportedly Exploring Old Friendship After Hugh Jackman Divorce

Deborra-Lee Furness might be re-entering the dating world with a familiar face, actor John Travolta.

The star previously noted she was not interested in dating following her split from Hugh Jackman, but now seems open to reconnecting with old friends. 

Deborra-Lee Furness met Hugh Jackman on a movie set in 1995. They were married for almost three decades before announcing their separation in September 2023.

Furness may have stepped out of a 27-year marriage, but insiders say she already has someone new making her smile. Travolta has reportedly been a steady source of support for Furness as she navigates life post-Hugh Jackman.

The two have known each other for years, and now that she is single, sources say she is open to deepening that connection into something more. Those close to her believe he might be just the kind of person to help her leave the emotional toll of the past two years behind.

"If anyone can sweep Deb off her feet, it's going to be John. She's already swooning over him," a source dished. RadarOnline reports that her inner circle is cheering her on, convinced she is better off without Jackman and encouraging her to move forward.

Furness's apparent shift in attitude toward dating comes as a surprise, especially since just last month she was said to have no interest in pursuing romance.

The Blast reported that the 69-year-old was brushing off every attempt to set her up. Despite getting offers and plenty of encouragement from friends, she was not biting.

The Blast reported that it was not just a brief hello. It was described as a joyful and low-key evening, with close friends gathering to mark Jackman's big night. A rep for Jackman later confirmed the dinner went down, calling it "a lovely evening."
