Garcelle Beauvais discussed her role on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" during an episode of  "The Ellen Degeneres Show" earlier this week.

As the new episodes of the actress' sophomore season on the Bravo reality series continue to air, the talk show's guest-host, Twitch, questioned Beauvais about what is was like for her to be named as the first Black cast member of the long-running show.

"It was very stressful to represent," she noted.

According to Beauvais, she felt tons of pressure when she took on the role of the first Black cast member of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" but was determined to be herself during filming. 

"Whenever you’re the first of anything, there’s a lot of pressure, there’s a lot of stress. But I really wanted to be me and be who I am and outspoken and confident and not let anyone put a label on me," Beauvais said. 

One thing that specifically concerned Beauvais was being tagged with the label of "angry Black woman."

After admitting to being worried about receiving certain labels, Beauvais said that she isn't an "angry Black woman" and would never want to be boxed into the false stereotype. 

"That’s not who I am and I didn’t want that. But it’s been fun. I mean, the girls are great. We have a lot of fun. We also have a lot of drama and that’s what the show’s about," she continued.

During another segment of "The Ellen Degeneres Show," Beauvais spoke about what she's looking for in a potential love interest.

"I want somebody who’s fun, who’s vibrant. I want trust, kindness, someone who doesn’t want any more kids but loves my kids. I just want a guy who’s going to go on the journey with me for the rest of my life,” she explained.

As for her deal-breaker, Beauvais said, "He can’t be rude. He can’t not have a job."
