In footage captured by Pop Faction, Bieber was spotted chatting with friends backstage at the Bird Street Club when his baggy pants suddenly slipped all the way past his knees.

Bieber’s Wardrobe Malfunction Follows Major Album Milestone With 'Swag'

The wardrobe mishap came just weeks after Bieber dropped "Swag" on July 11, 2025.

The record, his first since 2021’s "Justice," debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and has been praised by Billboard for taking control over “the present narrative” and “his and his family’s future.”

The album is a major milestone for Bieber, who has largely stepped back from the spotlight in recent years.

After cutting his "Justice World Tour" short in 2022 to focus on his health, the singer has made headlines more for his personal life than his music, from welcoming his first child, Jack Blues Bieber, with wife Hailey in August 2024, to ongoing speculation about his mental health and marriage.

Before the success of his new album "Swag," Justin Bieber was quietly stepping back from another major part of his life. His church.

According to The U.S. Sun, the 31-year-old pop star hasn’t been seen at Churchome, where he’s been a member since his teen years, for the past three months.

Bieber has shared a close bond with lead pastor Judah Smith for over a decade, but that relationship has recently come under scrutiny amid whispers of internal “drama.”

The speculation intensified after Ryan Good, Bieber’s former best friend, best man at his wedding to Hailey, and co-founder of his streetwear brand Drew House, reportedly cut ties with the church, calling out what he described as a “cult-like culture.”

The rumors were only further fueled when Smith appeared to address the controversy in a recent sermon, denying the accusations head-on. “If we’re a cult,” he told his congregation, “we’re the worst cult in the history of all cults.”

While Bieber’s absence from church has fueled speculation about a spiritual rift, insiders suggest it may be part of a larger picture of ongoing personal struggles.

According to Page Six, those close to the singer believe he “still has underlying issues” despite the triumphant release of his new album. Behind the scenes, sources point to tense encounters with paparazzi, subtle signs of friction between him and Hailey on social media, and erratic behavior in the months leading up to the album drop.

Some even fear the pop star could be at risk of slipping back into old habits. “[He] doesn’t particularly handle [fame] well,” one insider told the outlet, reflecting on the toll Bieber’s early stardom continues to take.

“Imagine being 14 and famous and people either love you for no reason, just because you’re who you are, or they hate you? There’s not a lot of in between," they added. "A lot of people wouldn’t deal well with that to begin with. It breaks a lot of people. I’m concerned about him.”

Despite the concern surrounding his personal life, Bieber’s new album offers some of his most candid reflections yet on navigating fame and public perception. "Swag" leans heavily into raw honesty, peeling back the curtain on how he’s learned to cope with years of scrutiny while living in the spotlight.

One standout moment comes in “Therapy Sessions,” an interlude featuring comedian Druski, where the two address Bieber’s controversial social media presence head-on.

“Even sometimes when I know you’re trolling and they don’t even understand,” Druski tells him in the track. “They’re like, ‘Oh my god, he’s f-ckking losing his mind’ and I’m like, nah. He’s just being a human being. He’s just enjoying social media like the f-cking rest of us.’”

"Swag" dropped on Friday, July 11.
