Dakota Johnson Impresses In Sheer Braless Dress While Breaking 'Naked' Rules

Dakota Johnson turned heads at this year's Cannes Film Festival, notably going sheer in the wake of the annual film festival bringing in new rules about what celebrities wear on the red carpet. In May, the 35-year-old displayed her incredible figure in a shimmery, beaded dress while going somewhat sheer, and she made instant headlines as a result. The Cannes Film Festival, which last year attracted a nearly bare-chested Bella Hadid as she went see-through, has put tougher regulations into place for its events, stating that "for decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival." Dakota may just have been bending the rules this year.

Opting for a sparkly Gucci number while attending the Kering Women In Motion Awards, the Fifty Shades star went body-hugging while hinting at her abs and hips, and with a braless finish, she was teasing her assets.

Flashing hints of her chest while wearing a racer neckline with slight cut-outs, Dakota added a built-in bodysuit layer for a little cover, making sure to also flash her toned legs as she rocked heels.

Accessorizing her look with oversized, statement earrings in silver, Dakota glowed from a full face of makeup, sporting dewy highlighter over a foundation and blush base, plus a rosy, lined lip. Beaming as she posed for arrivals photo ops, the ex to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin wore her hair tied up and styled into bangs, with a few loose strands softening the finish.

When In Style covered Dakota's fashion choice, it noted that she was wearing a version of the "now-banned" attire put into place by the Cannes Film Festival.

In its statement, the Cannes Film Festival continued: "Voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted,” continuing: "The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules.”

More recently, Dakota has made headlines for showing off her swimsuit body in the wake of her breakup. In July, she was photographed in a white bikini as she showed off her figure on a yacht in Ibiza. She made dual headlines for spending time with actress Kate Hudson while out in Spain.

Dakota's Ibiza travels also brought this photo as she was spotted enjoying a beach stroll with a crowd. Wearing the same white bikini top, she added some cover from a casual maxi skirt, also shielding her eyes from the sun via her baseball cap and shades.
