According to TMZ, Taylor's sports bar had officially begun removing his first name from the establishment over the weekend, leading many to question what was in store for the LA-based venue.
Shortly after the news broke, Taylor shared an update on his Instagram Stories with his followers, announcing his decision to walk away from the bar.
“I’ve made the decision to end my partnership with Jax’s,” the villainous reality star, known for his time on "Vanderpump Rules" and "The Valley," revealed. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. Right now, my focus is on my sobriety and mental health, and staying connected to my bar is no longer in line with the priorities I’ve set for myself and the life I’m working towards.”
Jax Taylor Announces Departure From Bar Shortly After Leaving 'The Valley'

Taylor's departure from his eponymous sports bar comes a week after the "House of Villains" star shared that he was leaving Bravo's "The Valley" ahead of season 3 to prioritize his mental health.
"After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I'll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley," the father of one revealed, as reported by The Blast.
"Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz," he continued.
Taylor Previously Opened Up About Being 'An Addict'

The reality star has been especially open about his journey with substance abuse since the beginning of 2025, when he candidly shared on a podcast that he was "an addict."
"I have substance issues — primarily with cocaine," Taylor shared, later admitting, "It's hard to say out loud."
According to Taylor, he's struggled with the illicit drug for over two decades.
"I've never said this in my life," he said. "So, to come out and say that I have an addiction [and] that I have a sickness that I have to work on the rest of my life is a really big deal for me."
Jax Taylor Has Been On A Sobriety Journey

Since Taylor's revelation, the Bravo veteran has been focusing on his sobriety. During a recent podcast episode, he opened up about how spending time in a mental health facility helped change his perspective on drugs and alcohol.
"I know for a fact — and I know you’re not supposed to say it — but I know for a fact I will not touch drugs and alcohol again,” Taylor told addiction recovery expert Richard Taite. “I know that. I have no interest in it. I’m not triggered by it.“
Taylor also shed some light on the incredible support system he has in his circle, adding, "I want to make it very clear, I'm not going to ever stop going to AA for the rest of my life."
He went on to explain how much he enjoys having a solid support group in his life, saying, "It's like a drug to me," before revealing it's helped him shift "from my drunk friends."
"I now have a sober group of friends," he shared. "We have a great time."
What's Next For Season 3 Of 'The Valley'?

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Alex Baskin, executive producer of "The Valley," shed some light on how season 3 of the hit reality series will differ now that Taylor is no longer involved.
“We’re making our plans for next season,” Baskin, who also works on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Vanderpump Rules," stated. “Jax is obviously a mainstay."
Baskin further added, "We did spend half the season without him, and that period of time was really full and rich, so I don’t think that we’re [searching] for [a] story to tell. I think it’s going to be different, but I don’t think different is a bad thing.”
