Streamer Adin Ross Slams LeBron James Over Dancing To A Diss Track About Rapper Drake

LeBron James has been in the middle of the rap beef involving Kendrick Lamar and Drake for over a year now. After the basketball player appeared at Lamar's "Pop Out" concert in 2024, dancing to the Hot 100 hit, it reportedly left Drake in his feelings, who seemingly began taking shots at the athlete over the next several months.

Fast forward to July 2025, LeBron and his wife, Savannah James, were spotted dancing to Lamar's song once again during a day party in Cannes, France, sparking intense debates across the internet once again.

During a recent stream, Ross, one of the streaming era's biggest names, slammed LeBron for supporting a song that blasts someone he was once very close to.

"As I loved LeBron my whole life, you can just see what a piece of sh-t human he is," Ross said earlier this week. "Imagine if your best friend for 15 years — and he's met his actual children — and you're rapping to a song about him being a pedophile. It's sad. This is not my beef, but I'm very close with Drake and it's just sad."

He added, "You guys can call me parasocial, but it does affect the way that I like LeBron. How can you respect someone that has no loyalty with someone he has known for 15 years?"

LeBron James Was Once Close With Drake

Ross' feelings, although strong, aren't unfounded, considering LeBron and Drake once shared a very deep and personal bond with each other.

According to a report from VIBE, in 2011, Drake admitted to texting LeBron before his big games as a way to encourage him.

“I always let him know that it’s his night,” the "Big Rings" rapper said. “Let’s get it, let’s go out there with a clear mind and forget all the other stuff going on and just stay focused on the task. That ring. Tonight, I told him it was his night. And it was his night tonight.”

James also previously opened up about his relationship with Drake, describing the performer as "real family."

“It’s not just because we are successful at what we do. We really care about one another on a day-to-day basis. Anytime you get a friend that can come and support you in what you do, I really respect that," James said.

Ross' Comments About LeBron James Sparks Intense Reactions

On X, formerly Twitter, users shared their bold reactions to Ross' comments, with one user specifically pushing back on the narrative that LeBron has been a bad friend.

"Dawg is a grown ... man. He could do what he wants," they wrote.

Another said, "Adin Ross calling the greatest, most influential athlete since Jordan and Kobe a POS is insane."

A third user clearly agreed, writing, "Dude needs to stay in his own lane. Nothing worse than a grown man gossiping about what another man is doing. Grow up!"

Although neither Drake nor LeBron has spoken publicly about their now-strained relationship, fans have noticed the "Best I Ever Had" rapper throwing shade at the NBA champion whenever he can.

In October 2024, Drake gave a shoutout to his "real friends" during a speech at Tyrone Edwards' Nostalgia Party in Canada.

“My real friends are definitely in the building,” Drake said. “But let me tell you that you’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, people you thought were close to you switch up.”

As he continued, Drake said even more that had fans assuming he was talking about his seemingly fractured friendship with LeBron.

“They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back. They might do a lot of things to you," Drake said. "You’ll come to that realization, wherever you’re at in life. You’ve probably been there and you’ll be there again. That’s how life is. Sometimes it’s you and you alone by yourself.”
